The rule in the Island is portion for 1 serves 2 and portion for 2 serves 3. Not here. The portion for 2 is only for two if not too hungry!!! Nevertheles the food is amazingly delicious and well prepared.

Very good meals and fair price. They have cold beer and friendly staff. Very good place to visit and have a meal.

The location of this restaurant is perfect. Right the main street on the island. Tables are on the beach so is great if you're dating someone. LOL. Good is good, quite cheap and lots of food so is always better to share. The service, on the other hand, is very poor and slow. If you ever come to this place,... More

The prices are fair (at least compared with other restaurants on the island) and the food average. Nothing impressive though. The service is unfortunately slow. Also, absolutely nobody was speaking English when we've been there and it was kind of difficult to communicate with the waitress. I wish to think that it was by mistake, but they wanted to charge... It took us 30 minutes to get our order in and another 30 before we got our drinks. When the food did finally come, it was the wrong order. The "salad" was a bunch of canned food that they'd tossed onto a plate. Lunch took us two hours. Not worth the cheaper prices!!

On a super busy night on the beach, we had good good basic food. Prices were cheaper; our services was good. Caprinhas were served in fountain glasses though and not that authentic. I would expect the Moqueca to be better though, so try the fried fish.

I frequented this beach restaurant multiple times within a week. The prices were fair with consistent quality in food and service. Fish was not dry, like many other experiences on the island. Their juices were also emulsified better which led to better caipirinhas. My entire group really preferred these to the many in Rio, Iguacu and Ilha dining experiences. Highlight:... More

we dined here twice, poor food (fish, chicken, burgers), service is mediocre, both times they forgot something from the order, food never arrived at the same time for all 4 of us. And it took ages to get food... there are a couple much better choices in the village.

Our first night on Ilha Grande and the local dish is Moqueca and this place was called Moqueca King or Rei Do Moqueca so of course we thought we'd give it a try. Good location on the beach though; we waited ages and then got a big cauldron of soupy fish which was just Ok . we were pretty hungry... More

The price is fair and good portions. We had a halibut with shrimp and on another day a steak over a hot stone pan. GREAT. Nice service and on the beach at the main area. PS... too many dogs staring at you begging for a bite. Do not feed them, since they will stick around you! :-)
