Having a meal here is more an event than eating. Set on the top of a hill, up a narrow road, we had a 2PM reservation. Your meal is served in the home of Marcio and Renata; this is more like spending the afternoon with...dinning with family vs eating in a restaurant. Served an 8 course gourmet meal, on rustic wooden tables outside by the pool. But first we were shown around the large property by Marico, while self trained Chief Renata went into the kitchen. Once we sat down, we were shown an amazing wine list, but as it was a warm mountain day, we opted for a well chilled local Pilsner that was excellent. Served iced in a metal pail, there was always a cold one at arms length. They employee a kind and efficient wait staff. When we were served our first course, fresh feta wrapped in thin slices of smoked ham, in a fresh pesto; we remarked to the young lady serving us what a nice day it was. She said “wait until you see our sunset”….huh? Sunset? It was 2:30PM. Folks, this is a 4 hour dining event so plan accordingly; we called and canceled our reservation for dinner that night. In the end we enjoyed a wonderful meal. From the initial serving of fresh breads and cheeses and spreads, a warm cheese soup (OMG), prawns served with white rice and a pumpkin. My main was a duck and gnocchi, my wife had an Osso Bucco cooked perfectly. The deserts were a passion fruit white chocolate mousse, and egg whites in a sweet fruit sauce. We left satisfied, full and ready for a late nap.👍👏More

Went for lunch with my wife and we really enjoyed all the 7 courses of the menu. The food was absolutely delicious, the location is great and the hosts were a delight. We spent most of the afternoon at the restaurant and had a wonderful...time.More
