Gula Gula offers a nice range of options to every taste - from quiches and salads to pasta, meat and seafood. We were there in a group of 5 'spoiled good-eaters' from São Paulo, the gourmet capital of Brazil, and we were very well-impressed. All dishes were very tasty and well served (not too much, not too little). Most of... More

Had a wonderful dinner here. Perfectly done salmon and chicken. Minimalist food that is just done cleanly, cooked and presented. High moderate for price. Intimate dining. Highly recommended.

People in Rio love going to this place. And you will find tasteless and expensive food, after having waited in long cues for nothing special. Avoid. Tastes like anywhere. Almost a tourist trap.

Every time I visit Rio, I try to go at least once to this restaurant. It is quite laid back (I usually go there after spending the day at the beach, still wearing bikini underneath) and food there is always fresh and tasty

This restaurant is one of the best options in Rio. The place isn't chic. The food isn't fancy. But they do nice quiches with salad for a small hunger and also a nice steak or chicken with savory beans, the everyday food in Brazil. They do have specials that change everyday. Not expensive, not cheap. I recommend!

Enjoyed eating our dinner outdoors here . It was just around the corner from our apartment that we rented during our visit to Rio. Food was tasty and large portions were served. Found the place via our guidebook.

The food, atmosphere, the service, everything was to my satisfaction! If you are in ipanema, you should definately try this restaurant! The only downside for smokers is that you have to stand outside in the street to smoke.

Neighbourhood Profile
In addition to being one of the most upscale neighbourhoods in the city, Leblon is charming, elegant and simple. This posh area has some of the most famous and expensive restaurants in Brazil, along with some of the city’s best nightlife (including some places open all night). One of the best places to visit is the beach, located under the impressive “Morro Dois Irmãos” (Two Brothers Hill). It’s a pleasant place to relax and admire the local beauty.
