They have the best cakes and sweets in the town! The macarroon with red fruits is a must! Nice area, beautiful and small place... perfect for a desert and afternoon coffee.

Kurt is one of the old and traditional spots of Leblon that makes the neighborhood proud. After any great meal around this carioca district, it's worth going there for a coffee and a piece of cake. Or just go...

This is a lovely bakery with fantastic cakes and other goodies. The store has been around for years and has a nice backstory (Kurt Deichmann, a German fleeing the war, opened the bakery in the 1940s). The cakes they are most famous for are the Torta de damasco (apricot cake) and the Picada de Abelha (A vanilla and honey cake),... More

Used to be considered as the best a years a go, people still have them as good, but I particularly think products are not as good they were, serving dry cakes and ugly type of hand made desserts.

Kurt is an old 'confiserie' in Leblon where you can find a good cake, have a coffee or tea, and take some cookies home. Founded by Mr. Kurt, an Austrian imigrant from the XX century, it's now runed by her daughter who manteined their best recipes. Try the apfelstrudel or the strawberry pie!

A cafe worth taking time to visit even if it's out of the way. I went with group of friends and tried several different pastries and cakes along with coffee. Loved most of them and is ideally located in great neighborhood.

Neighbourhood Profile
Leblon
In addition to being one of the most upscale neighbourhoods in the city, Leblon is charming, elegant and simple. This posh area has some of the most famous and expensive restaurants in Brazil, along with some of the city’s best nightlife (including some places open all night). One of the best places to visit is the beach, located under the impressive “Morro Dois Irmãos” (Two Brothers Hill). It’s a pleasant place to relax and admire the local beauty.
