It is a very small place but the daily lunch alternatives are always very good! They usually have beef, fish and chicken as alternatives. Excellent choices of bread to taste and an awsome chocolate browne! If you like chocolate you need to try that! For sure you will buy on more slice to go! Enjoy!

Food is excellent, fresh and made tastefully with good ingredients. But before you go please prepare yourself for the dizziest service in Rio de Janeiro.... More

Great food, great service. We ate salads and a suffle. Didn't have time to eat desert, but they looked very nice!

I visited Cafe Botanica Restaurant twice last week, once for afternoon tea and once for lunch. The afternoon tea, like the owner, is decidedly English, with both tea and an excellent single farm coffee, and everything you might miss from Blighty - muffins, cookies, brownies, and tasty cakes. The cafe was almost constantly full the whole afternoon, no tourists, just... More

Staying in Botafogo

Neighbourhood Profile
Botafogo
In recent years, Botafogo has become one of the hottest neighbourhoods in Rio. It hosts many modern restaurants with contemporary food and many venues to listen to rock and electronic music. Its numerous bars and pubs make this area a great choice for anyone interested in a great nightlife experience - in fact, some bars in the area are open all night. Casa Daros, an art museum that showcases amazing artists from Latin America, is a must see located in a historical building in Botafogo.
