First time I went there by a friend's recommendation, to be honest I was skeptical as the place doesn't seems a restaurant at the first moment. But once you try it, it is amazing! very well prepared plates with tons of options. Cod fish, shrimp bobo, crab claws, cone crab... Now, everytime that I go to Rio, this is my... More

We were considering going back a few streets but saw this restaurant on the beach front. Staff were very welcoming. Prices were rather expensive but the flavour was delicious. I had shrimp pasta and there were lots of shrimp. Child friendly.

If you are in Rio for the Olympics or at any time, this restaurant is highly recommended. We were initially attracted to this restaurant by its fantastic glass-fronted fresh seafood cabinet and open style kitchen/bar. Also a couple sitting near the window could be seen gorging on a massive tray of mixed seafood topped with enormous prawns which convinced us... More

We walked long way from our hotel and seen this restaurant with very attractive menu and food on the table. We were full that night but decided to come next day. The pricing look scary at first look but they are for 2. When we got the food it was delicious. Even with efforts we couldn't eat all, as it... More

Delicious seafood platter for 2, plenty of seafood and rice. Friendly waiter despite language barrier. Glass of house wine was filled to the brim -rare to see these days. Nice enough atmosphere inside, outside was too noisy with traffic. Would happily eat here again!

Probably one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. It was near 4 in the afternoon and we (three other girlfriends) had just arrived to copacabana and wanted a quick snack. We stopped here because it had decent reviews. Our experience however was terrible. We sat down and quickly decided that the food was over priced, however we... More

This place is highly recommended by locals for seafood so we gave it a try. Wow! We had a crab cake appetizer (crab pie?) and octopus and then the seafood symphony for 2 (more like 4) and it was fabulous. It is a bed of rice with broccoli (green seasoned rice) covered with lobster, shrimp, octopus, fried fish and squid.... More

The Seafood Symphony dish for two people was more than we could possibly eat in one seating. Make sure you order the right size because they have dishes for two or more people. Things get quite busy and loud at times, depending on the amount of fun and alcohol your neighbors are having. As long as you are okay with... More

My wife and I like to gamble on a few restaurants when in a foreign country. We hit the jackpot when in Rio, Copacabana Beach. This local fish restaurant was just what we wanted. Great seafood, locals coming and going and food prepared to order. The menu was huge, the air conditioning worked fine indoors and the portions were great.... More

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
