a small bistrot with helpgul waiters serving moderately priced seafood. the fish soup caldo de piranha which gives its bname to the place is certainly A+. Pricey for the location.

Always wonderful to eat at this simple low key place. Best dishes!!! A little expensive but a plate feeds three people well. Appetizers are amazing and the beer always cold!

Excellent shrimp pastel and cod fish little balls. My caipirinha - with a special cachaça - was made to perfection! We sat at a table on the sidewalk and had a great time. Excellent service, fair price and great food. What else do u need?

Th piranha broth is very nice and tasty an not expensive. Shrimp, squid and other fish dishes are very god. and prices are reasonable.

I went to this place with my girl with distrust but I was wrong. The Piranha fish broth is really tasty. The restaurant is in a calm area of the city and in a good environment. The waiter Bruno was very attentive and kind, he...explained the dishes and recommended the piranha fish broth and the shrimp with potatoes. Prices are ok. If you go to Teresópolis you need to go in a cold evening and have this broth. Thumbs up!More

I ordered a stuffed squid with catupiry cheese and shrimps. It was delicious. For starters I had the shrimp pastry (pastel de camarão) which was also very good. This restaurant only accept reservations from Tuesdays to Fridays and it doesn´t open on Mondays. It works...every day from 12:00 - 00:00.More

For many years I have been a frequent customer, but after the death of original owner its quality standards were not the same and for some years I did not return. One month ago I invited a couple of friends and went there togheter with...my wife. Absolute surprise to see the restaurant back to its origins, with the great piranha soup and shrimp dishes at generous portions. Price also was kept reasonable, with a good surprise to find a parking lot for guests. Some other restaurants were opened in the last years very close to Caldo de Piranha, atesting that this restaurant is a kind of magnet to customers. My only suggestion would be changing the lighting from white fluorescent lights to something more cozy.More

Another place I frequented quite a bit in Teresopolis. I highly recommend any of the shrimp dishes as they are generous and very tasty. Also the piranha soup is a must. Although the food usually takes a little while, it's well worth the wait. When...I'm in the mood for seafood, this is the place to go. It may seem a bit out of the way but it's worth the short jaunt to get there. Portions are extremely generous so bring your appetite!More
