Booked in to this with some friends. Vannak is so skilled and speaks fantastic English. We made Fish Amok and beef with Basil and lemongrass. Picked up so many culinary tips. Vannak takes you too his local market and then you cook at his house. A great authentic experience.

In this restaurant you will find really good typical Khmer food and a cheap price. The cooking lesson is really great too. For 10$ you will learn 3 different courses and do the shopping in a market as well. A cook book will be given to you.

I may be a little biased since I did a cooking class here, but when I returned for dinner, I simply asked Vanak to choose something to cook. I was rewarded with a stunning fish stir fry - super fresh, super tasty.

I didn't attend the cooking class but I sure the Vegetarian Amok I ordered was fresh and delicious. Dom't go there if u have short time or have to hurry up, they are slow, so perfect for relaxed in holiday people

For my trip to Battambang with my parents, we booked a cooking class with Vannak, a very nice Khmer Chief! He was the first one to organise this experience in Battambang. And, after 16 years, the authenticity of the cooking class is still here. First, we went to an organic market around the city where local farmers are selling their... More

I think this class is as authentic as it gets. Vannak is a lovely person and has been running the class for 16 years. There is some competition in Battambang and the other cookery classes seem to be more recommended by the hotels (certainly my hotel suggested another class, so they would get commission). I booked in person with Vannak... More

We loved this place! The food is local and simply the best we ever had in one month of traveling in Cambodia! We also did a cooking class which was absolutely amazing. Buying everything from a local market and cook such delicious food! Thanks again for this awesome day!

If you're ever in Battambang you owe it to yourself to visit the Smokin' Pot. The owner Vannak takes great pride in the offered local food and it is simply amazing. For ten dollars you can also do a cooking class at his home which was great. We had a blast with him and learned a lot about Cambodia food... More

We had a great day with the cooking class. Vannack was a wonderful host. We started with a trip to the local market to get the ingredients and then went to his house in the countryside to do the cooking. We made Fish Amok, learning how to make the banana leaf basket, and stir fry lemongrass chicken. Hygiene standards were... More
