Joined Vinak for a cooking lesson in his village home. It was great. beautiful surroundings and it was lovely meeting his extended family. He took me to a local market and answered all my questions. It goes without saying that the food was amazing and we had great fun making it from scratch cant wait to have a go on... More

After tasting the delicious Khmer food, we decided to learn a little bit more about how to make it our self. With the smoking pot cooking class we first went to the local market and learned about the ingredients we picked out. A little outside of the city we cooked fish amok and other dishes traditionally over fire in a... More

We ordered some food there and waited for 40 minutes. Finally we got food but there was a hair in the food. Worstly, the dished were still stained because they didn't wash the dished cleanly. We didn't eat anything and paid for food and left there. Worst experience ever..

This authentic traditional cooking class with Vannak Robie in his beautiful home was a highlight of my trip to Cambodia. It was so welcoming coming into his home and meeting his family, and the incredible food we cooked was so delish and heartwarming. It was a small intimate group and I loved exploring the market to buy the food before... More

ive been in cambodia for years and this was some of the worst khmer food i have ever eaten. the portions were so tiny, i laughed when they brought the food out. my fish amok, for some reason, was mainly soggy mushrooms, while the fish still had skin on it. once i peeled the skin off there was only a... Had the 1/2 chicken in both ways, "deepfried in oil" and "cooked on coconut milk" and despite our prejudices, the latter one was definitely the better one! It was really tasty, the other one ok. And the fruit shakes are tasty and well worth the money!

I took a cooking class with the Smokin' Pot Cooking School and Restaurant which was the absolute highlight of my stay in Battambang. I discovered it while wandering through Street no 121 - the Smokin' Pot restaurant is situated on this street (this review is about the cooking school, not the restaurant). Cooking classes are held in the owner's village... More

Hi, I recommand Smokin' pot's cooking class and restaurant to anyone who will spend a day in Battambang. We took the cooking class with Vannak today and it was a great moment. We got to cook entirely our own meals in Vannak's own house. We cooked 3 dishes, 2 of which are quite easy to reproduce at home and were... More

Had a casual dinner here after noting it on Trip Advisor. Food was bland and basic. Atmosphere dull and needs a full makeover. Seems to be over rated and would suggest you try some of the other restaurants in Battambang.
