Very nice and cozy place with a great view on Moon Hill. Food was good, fireplace was an extra future that we loved on a cold day.

We live in Shanghai but had been traveling around China for some time. We were Jonesing for some good Italian food and definitely found it at Luna. We were looking for some great food around Yangshou and we found it at Luna Cafe. The bruschetta was unbelievably good and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. We felt very well looked after.

Our tour guide took us here for lunch. It was so amazing, we went back for dinner two days later. The menu is extensive, the food cooked to order, and the staff will take a personal interest in you to make sure the experience is...spot on. Definitely order the bruschetta. Oh my. It was amazing. Fresh tomatoes and garlic on perfect bread. We ordered multiple appetizers and entrees over the two different meals and everything was perfect. I can’t say enough great things. Just try it yourself if you are looking for amazing Italian food.More

Excellent food. We ordered 2 salads a pasta and the three cheese pizza. The pizza is cooked on a stone tray, we all loved it. The mango juice was also great and refreshing.

We stayed at Luna Cafe's sister hotel (Yangshuo Mountain Retreat), it was recommended to us that it was beautiful by the hotel. We went and ordered our food after looking at a decent menu. We were hurried to order as a party of 15 were...coming soon. We soon ordered, and it took an hour for the starters to arrive. Bruschetta, dough balls and mozzarella dippers surely don't take that long?! By this time the big party still hadn't even arrived and only two other tables occupied in the place. The starters were really good though, and the sun was shining so this kind of balanced it out. Our mains finally arrived. I had the chicken topped with mushroom and fries, the fries were definitely not home made as stated and the chicken was flavourless and so chewy/poor quality. The rest of our party had the sausage and mash which was extremely dry, the carbonara and the parmesan chicken. Nobody was impressed with the food and it was a disappointment really. The main disappointment was that we left our lovely hotel's restaurant which was fantastic and would go back to time and time again, so we were more gutted we wasted a chance to eat there again! I really wanted to leave a good review for this place as the hotels are lovely and staff are so kind, but this was a big disappointment, use the opportunity to go elsewhere.More

You will probably head to Moon Hill when you're in Yangshuo. Whether you go into the scenic park area and hike the area to see the Moon Hill, or pop into the Moon Hill Cafe for a quick photo of this geographic landmark, do make...a stop for either lunch or dinner at the Luna Cafe, a stunningly located Italian restaurant with a rooftop bar. Enjoy the view while you have a selection from a superb Italian menu, or try some local delicacies. We went for dinner and although it was cold, we loved sitting on the rooftop at dusk looking out at Moon Hill. My friend had an excellent pizza (wood-fired) and local Tsingtao beer, and I had the Penne con broccoli which was really excellent! We also shared a really great Greek salad with olive oil and balsamic dressing (rare to fiind such a great salad in China and was wolfed down before I had a thought to take a photo!). We also tried the brownie and baked lemon cheesecake. The cheesecake was fabulous, the brownie, a little disappointing and more of a piece of chocolate cake than a moist, rich brownie, but very tasty with a double espresso. I highly recommend this restaurant for great food and excellent service. The restaurant is part of a hotel, so perhaps even spend a night or two here, it's not too far (approx. 20RMB taxi or didi ride from the Yulong River area or city centre).More

Lovely restaurant, decent Italian food and fantastic staff. We visited late in the evening and it was pretty quiet with the weather being bad and it being low season. But very friendly helpful service and good food made it a worthwhile trip. We were last...to leave and the staff even waited with us to check out taxi picked us up.More

The service was so good that we went twice - for dinner and lunch the very next day. Staying in Yulong scenic area makes food choices limited unless we take expensive transport out to West Street for Italian food during restricted hours. We took advantage...of the free one way transfer (minimum spending of 200rmb)to Luna cafe We had excellent bruschetta and calamari but the rest of the dishes were forgettable. What rescued the day was the excellent service and we returned the next day to try the pizza and brownie in addition to our favourites. It’s amazing for various reasons: First, staff is really really kind and friendly. Second, you Can find good western food! And third, you Can see moon Hill while you eat a delicious plate.

Absolutely worth the taxi ride out to Moon Hill Village. The food was great - proper Italian fare (we were really enjoying Chinese food during our trip, but it was nice to have something different). The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the view was...gorgeous. Watching the sun set over Moon Hill while we drank a cold glass of wine was special.More
