Best kremšnite

We, of course, ate Vanilla Custard Cream Cake (Croatian Kremšnita) and it was very delicious! They taste great, especially when they are at least a bit colder, not straight from the oven, as they tend to literally collapse on your plate when still hot! Coffee was also good. We paid 38 kunas for two coffees and cake slices. This place has a nice view from the terrace, you can see the city center from it. If you are nearby be sure to visit!

We ordered Kremsnita and tiramisu cakes, we didn’t like neither of them. The service is really good and the Spot where the café is located is also good because it is in the center of Samobor. The only thing you could taste in Kremsnita were the eggs and a little bit of sugar, tiramisu cake had a strong taste of rum. Besides that, both cakes were bland.

Best local famous sweet

If you come to Samobor go in here to try famous "Kremsnita". It is made in whole ex-yu but in Samobor they make it different. It could be served even warm if they have big sales/production. Personell is not so polight and interior could and should get renovated, but Kremsnita is very good :)

The only reason we go there are "kremsnite". On weekends there’s always a long queue. The cake is warm, fresh, tasty. We take it away, very rarely sit inside or outside. And we buy at least 10 pieces: for us, our sons and a neighbouring family. After a walk, on a sunny day, take a seat in the square, have a “kremsnita”, relax and enjoy!

Fresh cakes and nice atmosphere

We bought cakes to take home. They were freshly prepared and the lady working there was kind. The terrace is placed at the main square and I like the local cakes. We enjoyed the cakes at home. It is a nice place to visit.

Kremsnita was terrible. I coluld smell the eggs and it was so much sugar. Very dissapointed. We came to Samobor just to try it. I forgot to mention the staff. Very very rude waitress. She didn' even say hello thank you. Nothing.

Cosy old cafè with the best Samoborske kremšnite in Samobor

The staff at U Prolazu gives a warm welcome and is happy to suggest other wonderful cakes and pastries as well, but the light custard cream placed between layers of crispy sheets of puff pastry of the kremšnite and a nice, hot coffee on a chilly day is the thing to have. What else is there to say?

Nice setting overlooking on the town square.

Stopped here for a quick coffee after walking around the town. Had to try their famous "kremšnita". It was just OK! Nice place to sit down and enjoy your morning coffee.

The famous cream cake was ok. I am no cake person but since various travel pages said you could not leave samobor without tasting it I gave it a try... It was ok, nothing more. The coffee americano was not good at all, but the white wine was very very cheap, and good!

Terrible cakes

It is famous place but cakes became really bad and awful, you will regret trying to eat any of those so I dont recommend this place and it should not be on trip advisor.
