Saturday afternoon/evening visit, drinks on lounge right at the lake, super view of sunset. Dinner: starter was "Mille feuilles", a great dish with alternating stacked veggies and goat cheese on a bed of green salad with excellent balsamico dressing, it was followed by goat cutlets with veggies and fries and mousse au chocolate for dessert. Highly recommendable.

That's a romantic place that you can enjoy with your friends too. Perfect place to chill out and relax or having a dinner on Sunday night. Their pizzas are lovely and the wine is fair. It is quite expensive but worth the price. Just take a mosquito repellent.

My partner and I visited La Chalet twice on the recommendation from the guys at the Virunga National Park office. We went for sundowners on a Saturday, when there was a reggae band band at the bar down by the lake. It's a beautiful, chill setting, a mix of expats and travelers and trendy Goma folks. We got a few... More

Really a nice place for a Pizza or an Aperitif next to the lake. I have really appreciated the cleanness and a good pizza. I'm Italian so for me a good good pizza is something more but in Goma is something wonderful.

At first I was a bit disappointed as every menu item we tried to order seemed to be unavailable or the server would report that the kitchen was out of some essential ingredient for the dish. We were practically coerced into ordering pizzas, but I am very glad we did. They were far beyond my expectations, with super thin yet... More

Came here to have a beer with friends, sitting outside on the lakeside. We felt like we were in paradise. Highly recommended!

Le Chalet is one of Goma's longest-standing restaurants, and there's a reason for that. I've been coming here for ten years. The food is good, the atmosphere is even better, and the Wednesday night buffet/happy hour has been the must-do social event for expats in Goma every week for years. (If you want to see all the excesses of culturally... More

This is a Great restaurant with superb Lake Kivu views, if you go there on Wednesday evening, you can get a very nice food (buffet style settings) for just $15 a person. Bar is located directly on the lake.
