In town with a tour group and half of us walked in for lunch. Very good menu of varied and delicious local items. I thoroughly enjoyed a shrimp stuffed avocado. Very delicious and couldn't have been fresher. Wish I lived closer to this place! Also had wifi!

This place is nicely decorated and the service was attentive. Lunch prices were very reasonable. Try the stuffed avocados.

There was a wide selection of medium priced foods for dinner. Since we were early before 6 PM), the restaurant was nearly empty and the service was fast. All of the meals were large and tasty; the meat portion was too large to eat and was complemented by tasty side dishes . The tables and roses were lovely . We... More

There are fixed price menus for just a few dollars that include soup, a main course and dessert. The food is delicious but the portions are very small so if you're hungry, you may need to order two.

The local food is good and recognizable. The service is slow because the restaurant is busy. The soups are excellent and so is the avocado with chicken salad. We were robbed in the restaurant by people who were dining at another table. It's crowded and easy to get bumped. The owners were upset, but as with any crowded market area,... More

We ate here on a Monday nite just before Xmas, that may explain why there was only one other couple eating there. We shared a very nice cerviche starter, and each had an steak for mains, which while it was huge was very tough. The chips were soggy ! Juices good. The service was good, but no atmosphere. Ok value,... More

I went there for lunch and had a lunch menu - inexpensive - soup, fresh fruit juice, meat rice and vegetables (choice of 3 meats) and fruits for desert. Slightly out of the main road, lots of local people and workers seem to have their habits here. Recommended !

This is a very good option, very close to plaza de ponchos. The dishes are huge, too much food for me, and what is different is that they serve popcorn as appetizer... But I liked it a lot!!

Inty Huasi opens directly on to the Plaza de los Ponchos. I came here as part of a group of 10, most ordered menu of the day to keep it simple. Many typical Ecuadorian dishes are on offer, such as trout and parrilladas (a grilled meal of mixed meats). There was lots of avocado dishes, and nice salads also. Locally... More

We ate here for lunch after shopping at the famous market just around the corner. The food was solid and well-priced. My only criticism is that I ordered chicken, yet I couldn't tell what part of the chicken they gave me -- the liver?

Description
This restaurant has been in Otavalo for about 10 years, but has gotten better, new managers. I eat there alot. It is a large and very clean place and now there are about half locals and half tourists who eat in the place. A 5 course lunch (include large safe juice), which changes every day, is about $4. Many other things to choose from--steak, trout, chicken. They have live music every Saturday afternoon. The food is also typical Ecuadorian food, creatively prepared and the place is VERY clean. I am very picky and can attest to that!
