What a wonderful way to end a week in the Otavalo area - dining and staying in a 500 year restored hacienda and monastery. We can't say enough good things about the Hacienda, its staff, food, and grounds

Old hacienda turned into a high restaurant. Go early when still plenty of daylight to admire the garden and the view around. DOnt miss the huge chimneys in some of the rooms. Nice local food. Nice music and bar on Friday and Saturday evenings. Need a taxi from Otavalo.

Hacienda Cusin is a beautiful place to stay in addition to just visiting the restaurant. The Host, Nik Milhouse, is amazing and if he happens to be there when you arrive he will give you the grand tour. You should really plan to stay a couple of nights at this lovely place, as the full groups and public building are... More

We enjoyed a lovely visit to this quaint and quirky hotel in the mountainous region of Ecuador. The hotel is a museum with a plethora of South American paintings, textiles and objet d'art. The most wonderful part of our visit was the time we spent with proprietor Nik Millhouse whose great love and project is this historic masterpiece of a... More

We stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The service at the hacienda was terrific. There was a library, a game room and a garden on the property. The self-serve tea station had a variety of tea options. It was great to have a nice cup of hot tea after a long day of hiking!... More

I love this place it is a typical Andes hacienda, with colonial flair and a great collection of artifacts. The hacienda is very big with rooms or cabins for romantic or family visits. It is in a nice set, surrounded by the mountains. You can even go horse back riding and have a delicious lunch or dinner afterwards.

We stayed here for our first 4 nights in Ecuador. It was a great place to relax and enjoy after doing the usual day trips in the surroundings. Breakfast and dinner are very good and served in the great dining room. Dinner menu bit on the expensive side compared to the lunch menus in other places in Otavalo. The bar... More

We had two breakfasts, a full dinner, and opted for sandwiches on our last night. The meals were satisfactory but not exceptional. The gardens and setting improve the food.

Cusin Hacienda at San Pablo del Lago near Otovalo (15 minutes by car). Spent four nights there that made for a great stay. Loved the spacious gardens with a huge array of flower species. Many of the reviews posted describe quite correctly the wonderful setting and hacienda ambience, but our experience was really made outstanding due the caring efforts of... More

I would give the food probably 4 stars. But the charm of the property and the overall vibe boosts my rating to 5 stars. The food was very good, especially the soup, but it was not of a 5 star quality. If you come here, come a bit early to dinner, sit in the lounge area by the fire, have... More
