From my experience if you go to golden temple and miss Guru ka Lungar then your trip is not complete. All sevaks are offering sevas either in cooking, serving or cleaning utensils at this lunger in very devoted and desciplined manner. What you experience & get to see is satisfaction on sevaks faces and ambience in serving others selflessly. Gurus... More

A must visit place for everyone going to Amritsar. A place where the Oneness of humankind is more easily experienced and explained. Where all are welcome irrespective of religion, caste or creed. Where the entire community serves and accepts food as equals. Also do your little bit by joining the free community service. A truly rewarding and satisfying experience.

Nothing can beat Guru Ka Langar in Amritsar, despite cost escalation the langar is free for the devotees. It is estimated that around one lac persons enjoy Guru ka Prasad here.

I m too small a person to write a review on them. It is service of God through service of mankind. The sewa Bhavna upto which nothing can match. May God bring more occassion to make me visit golden temple and get the langar Prasad.

I have read about the largest community kitchen before, but it's really not possible to know about it's grandness without visiting this place. This is the place where all human beings become equal. Here I realized, a simple meal of Dal, roti and khir can be so fulfilling.. It's really amazing to see how everything is done so systematically. People of... More

A superb example of community service. Simple but excellent food free for all. Nice to see the roti making, utensil cleaning and such a huge population dining together non-stop through out the day and night without any chaos.

Machine like clock-work serving hot delicious food to hungry, needy and rich alike without any discrimination 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. The beautiful planning, logistics and execution is nothing short of a miracle to be witnessed especially considering that upto 50000 people eat here everyday and there are only 300 permanent staff...
