Humanity in its abound has founded one of the best places to serve and be served and thats Guru Ka Langar, You can have a free meal and even do some service back to the people here. This is a definite must go in Amritsar

There is 24hrs food service for every soul on the universe. The black dal roti n rice kheer is the prasada. Seva is done by many good souls on a continuous base round the clock. A big salute to the Sikh community it’s really commendable

Food is freely to all.it is clean and all have to sit and eat. There is no caste and religion separation. Roti,rice,dal and payasaa was very tasty.

There is option for wheelchairs and also Sevadasan are there to assist. Sitting on chairs is also allowed for old persons.

You can make arrangements for yourself to sleep in some of the gurudwara's in and around Golden temple. They do allow you to stay for sometime. With God's grace you may have enough food being served at langar there. You... More
