I have read all the reviews and could only second what everyone else has said.... so too add my own thoughts ....here they are. If I had too choose one place and one place only to spend time in whilst on my travels it would be at Sandys At Oldtown.

My girlfriend and I have been eating our way through the Old Town of Koh Lanta. This is one of our favorite spots. We went twice today and once yesterday. I think we'll be going back tomorrow as well. The owner is so nice and everything on the menu is done with quality in mind. The food menu is small,... More

This was quite the drive from Long Beach but so so so worth the drive! The owner was lovely she explained her menu which changes everyday based on seasonal availability and since my fiance is a vegetarian and there was nothing on the menu for her to eat the owner made her an amazing vegie stir fry. We had the... More

After exploring the old town we found Sandy's and even though we were the only ones there when we arrived (it is low season after all) we decided to stop for a spot to eat and drink. The owner greeted us warmly and explained the menu, only fresh ingredients so a small choice and when it's gone its gone. Sounded... More

Went there for lunch today and were quite disappointed. Only two items on the menu and nothing for kids or veggies as far as we could tell, so we just had a drink. I'm guessing the cook was not working that day. Venue and view are nice, but other places in Lanta Old Town are cooler, less cramped and have... More

Sorry to hear that you were disappointed. This is the first negative review we have had in three years of business. Our concept is to have a small menu of selected home cooked dishes. All our food is prepared from fresh ingredients based on whatever fresh produce is available on the day. We don't have a large selection of dishes... More

We ate, we sang, we enjoyed the seaview and Sandy's company. In the fishing village part of Old Town - very much off the beaten track

excellent food, only a few tables though so one might need to be patient as the place gets popular. the owner is very friendly and accommodating. I think I'll go there everyday if we were to stay near the old town.

It is impossible to describe how beautiful this place is. The place is almost hidden by other houses, just outside the main road of old town. The staff is nice and friendly, the food is amazing (noodles are the best) and the shakes are the best I've tried in Thailand. The location is very particular and characteristic, every details transmit... More
