Go here for a beer and a chat with the ex pats,no more. Nong tries hard but she is running two places at once and things will improve if she sells Nong's bar further up the road to concentrate on the Danish Baker.

Lady Nong, wellknown in Nongkhai, took over this place a few months ago. She is preparing to offer food soon as well, ut for this moment, 31.7.2016, this is only a beer bar, open from 09.00 am till about 20 or 21.00 hrs. Very cozy place tough and close to everything. Can't wait to find out what the food will... More

This place was a great place when the Dane opened it. It had great food and great for people watching. It is down the drain now.....much better places to spend your time. I remember when they had two live cams on the business and on the river....no more.

My father lives in nong khai so been coming here for years. This establishment was fabulous but that was days gone by. Filthy with substandard offerings, there are so many better places to go to.

The place was an icon for many travelers 10 years ago when the actual Danish Baker and owner managed the place. But this is history. Now it might be open occasionally, but forget about it. Dont waist the time.

The Danish Baker was once the go to place in Nong Khai for good food and service. Unfortunately those days have disappeared. The food now is terrible, and the service is no better. It looks like the restaurant needs a good clean. I can't think of any good to say about this place.

We lunched here, expecting some sort of Danish bake. Nothing on the menu. So my partner had fried pork and noodle which was mediocre. I had sweet and sour chicken which was truly the worst meal I have had in SE Asia - and we have been travelling for a month. The tomatoes...yes tomatoes in the sweet and sour. ..was... More

I don't really understand why this place has such a following with local Danes and other expats. I guess its just a meeting place. I hear the owner has gone back to Denmark and the quality has deteriorated. It was before my time when he was here anyway. Just seems badly run and the food offering is poor. I wouldn't... More
