Poo Restaurant was a nice alternative to Pai Resort. Thought the prices were fractionally higher but could not fault food or service. I enjoyed the fried chicken and the ample salad that came with it while my wife had the cashew, pineapple chicken and rice. Those 2 dishes plus a fruit shake each came to a reasonable 240 baht. WIFi... More

Pad Thai was very good and green curry also though I have had better in Thailand. Pleasant clean place and service good and on the whole good value for money. Definitely much better food than you would get at a similar place in Old Sukothai.

typical unstylish restaurant for "farang" backpacking, absolutely nothing special, I have had many amazing meals in Thailand and I am not going to remember the one I had in Poo.. ordered fried dumplings, green curry, pad thai.. really average for quantity and taste. Neither one single thai in the restaurant! but not so many alternatives in the ugly and sad... More

A nice quirky restaurant well located on the main road. You could spend all evening reading the customer comments written on the walls. As for the food, it was pretty slow arriving and nice enough but we didn't come away raving about it.

I had a massaman curry, it was ok but definitely not the best I've had in Thailand. Spring rolls were OK again nothing exceptional. I did however, very much enjoy the banana samosas! All in all, not bad, generally tasty but a little over priced.

We ended up eating here a lot. Good choice of western and Thai. Very clean. Left my sunglasses there which they kept and gave back to me the next day. Shuts about 930pm , last orders then anyway,

Ok, I can handle my spice, but on my trip to poo, it was another level. I'll disclaim that when the lady asked how spicy, i said spicy, but what came out made me cry. Like.. tears on my face cry. Outside of serving me food that was way too spicy, food flavor was average, service was on par. Overall... More

The Thais were eating Western fare - maybe that's a better bet, unless you like your Thai food boring. Pad thai was pretty good, and so was the service and cleanliness. The rest of the food was like we were at a Thai restaurant in, say, Nebraska. The chicken with ginger resembled stirfried veggies more than a real Thai pad... More
