We were a group of six and had driven down to Vung Tao, Thanh Phat is a popular restaurant, on the opposite side is the raw seafood, we selected Sea snails, Oyster, Crabs, Cray fish, and some fish.I choose the local Saigon green label beer. The dishes were excellent a wonderful evening.

If it's not for local friends. I would not have found such place. I can certainly sleep well tonight. You can pick what you want to eat across the street and then sit down and feast to your hearts content

Seafood really fresh, affordable price, delicious dish but the restaurant always seem to be overloaded, slow services. Restaurant's location is a little bit far from the center

You go across the street and pick out your live seafood. They put it in a basket and bring it across the resturaunt and serve you. It does not get any fresher than this. I had the lobster crab and prawns. Served with garlic lobster sauce.. Super excellent !!!!It is one of best seafood I have had. !!

Yeah, this was off the chain awesome. Recommend coming with someone who can speak Vietnamese. Sat back and let the in laws do all the ordering. Also the prawns..... Were the size of a child.

I dropped by this place as an advice of my friend, hope that I could find some seafood to bring back hotel. Terribly, it seems no one wanted to welcome us, I asked for buying, one man pointed to the menu on the table, I got my selection then looked around to find someone for ordering, but no one was... Had lunch here with friends. Away from tourist area. It was Thanh Phat II that we went to. Select the seafood you want from the tank. Ask about the price first. English speaking there is zero. LoL. Use finger to point and a calculator to cfm price. Best to eat are the Soldier Crab which is surprisingly meaty and steamed... More

Too many people and the service was bad. We have to wait so long for the food. The dishes are so so.

Was taken out to dinner by a client (local). Reached around 4 pm, so got the best seats (right next to the sea). Even somebody like me could make out that the seafood tasted better (fresher i suppose) than in Saigon. Infact, fisherfolks seemed to be coming in with fresh supplies all the time! And the place filled up quite... More

I have been a regular visitor to Vung Tau and always patronise Ganh Hao for fresh seafood. As on previous visits, I taxied to Ganh Hao for lunch and was disappointed to notice lots of cars and buses parked on either side of the street as we neared the restaurant. Then, as expected, we were waved on by attendants at... More
