The restaurant is so so. Joe, the owner of the restaurant is a nice friend to talk about anything. We enjoy suckling pig to celebrate new year. It was amazing that my family enjoyed every slice of it.

Totally value for your money. It is located a walking distance away from Tuk tuk. Big portions, cheap food and fresh juice. Taco there is like a filled pastry, worth a try! Visited twice on our journey.

Joe and his family were lovely people, very friendly and helpful. The food was great especially the bbq. We ate there most days. We hired a bike from Joe at a better rate than out hotel. Joe also took us out on an all day...bike tour to the waterfalls, hotspring, view point and a few other places that we wouldn't have found by ourselves. Joe also helped me out with visiting a orchid farm and posting home. Highly recommend visiting Joe's restaurant for some food and a chat.More

If you go to Lake Toba, you definitely have to stop at Joe's Restaurant. The batak chicken is delicious and you need to ask one day before for the fish or chicken BBQ.
