Hate to differ from the rest but food is slightly above average. All 5 of us had Ramen and agreed soup is good but the noodles don't taste right. Tasted "flour-ery" and far from typical ramen noodles. Had tempura and its was ok. Yakitori was...a bit tough. No pork served at restaurantMore
Halal friendly Japanese restaurant in Tanjung Pinang, South Bintan. Located inside Rimba Jaya, the place is nicely decorated. The menu is very extensive (they even have Korean soups and bingsoo), the food affordable and delicious. Definitely will recommend to try this place out when you...visit South Bintan.More
The best japanese family restaurant in town. Japanese food with many choices of food. Local crowd. Reasonable price.
Its such a great restaurant. We happened to eat here while we were looking for another cafe but we were glad we decided to try here. The food is good and the price is reasonable. The staffs are nice. Nice ambience. A variety of food...to choose from. The food is great. Highly recommended.More
Good Japanese restaurant that ever have in town It's never lost his standard And it's a place that can chill out with friends
We were pleasantly surprised to find this cosy Jap Restaurant in the heart of Tg Pinang at Rimba Jaya where lots of great street food and a night market is. Lots of great variety of sushi which is absolutely yummy! There’s also a selection of...nice Korean cuisine and desserts like bibimbap bingsu. Highly recommended when u visit Tg Pinang!More
Fine Japanese food in Town and the service is good but the food served are way too slow. We had to wait for a like 10 minutes for the next food to be served.
We tried almost every sushi there was and all of them tasted as good as they looked. Also the chicken katsu is very good. However, the amount of tempura batter was a little too much as decoration. Very nice staff but only 1 spoke good...English.More
Enjoy time chill and eat Japanese food in tomo restaurant... The service is fast for the waiter and food isn't bad for some food we choose to eat sushi and kimchi
The location in Rimba Jaya, japanese food actually. There some taste Indonesian maybe the chef of Tomo Restaurant want to make friendly taste that can consume by Indonesian people
I decided to try tomo as there were a lot of good reviews. We ordered katsu rice and spicy ramen. The rice was very poor probably due to our preference, it was extremely sweet. Since we come from Australia, the sweetness of the rice and...chicken wasn't that great. However, the spicy ramen was really nice. The flavours were exceptionally good, but the meat was rather bland. The service was average, there weren't alot of people when we came but the food still came really slowly. I really like the decoration of the restaurant though. Was really modern and very different to other restaurants you go to in tanjung pinang.More
once upon a time there was this famous Japanese restaurant called Rin, located at Nirwana Gardens Resort, in the Lagoi area... a haven to quality fare and sophisticated service Rin unfortunately closed down in early 2017 after 10 years of operation, and we were left...wondering were to go for an authentic Japanese meal in Bintan... well, we got good news... one of the Japanese chefs at Rin has decided to stay on the island and open his own outlet in Tanjung Pinang, welcome to Tomo Restaurant! Rin's luxurious style has been toned down, to make the new place more affordable to locals, and we are happy to report that food quality and pleasant environment do not disappoint in Tanjung Pinang, there is now an alternative to Indonesian or Chinese food: lunch or dinner at Tomo Restaurant, a daring tribute to Japanese excellence, in a small provincial town... definitely good value for money!More
One of the most exquisite restaurant in my hometown. Been too many in Japanese restaurants abroad i have had high expectation on this one. They did not let me down, i was satisfied with the menu and the services. Good to know this kind of...restaurant exist in my hometown. I am proud of the traditional culinary of Bintan such as street food court and coffeeshop, but once a while when you need a break or hosting your international guests with a touch of five stars restaurant, this can be good option. Highly recomended the seafood soup, fresh ingridients and rich flavour a with the right amount of spices. A must try!More
Reserved a table for 4 then placing the orders, it took more than 30 minutes to be ready (1 glass of Ice lemon tea). Food came not all the same even the dessert coming together with main course. One of the main courses still not...coming but waiting staff seems doesn't care just walking around to refill water. Resto already bit slow but no one care with guest order, they were busy with many things. When I asked they said will be late around 5 minutes causing by problem inside kitchen (I believed if no asking no one knows) food taste were good but training needs to improve skillMore
