Delicious food and great service!

We had a very good dinner here whilst staying in Podgorica. The restaurant is cozy and relaxed. We recommend the fish/seafood platter for two which includes delicious cuttlefish risotto, and is more than plenty for two. The wine is reasonably priced, and we were given a complementary appetiser with home made bread. Our host was very friendly and informative about the menu, and we found him to be very charming. Yes!

Quiet and cozy place in the heart of Podgorica

My colleague and I had a very tasty dinner after a long day of lectures here in Podgorica. The food is fresh, tasty and nicely served. The meet was done perfectly as we usually find that some restaurants in Montenegro tend to overcook meat. Staff were very attentive, professional and communicative. The gentleman who served us also made a point of asking how we wanted our way meat. done. We I look forward to coming back.

A must visit steakhouse

A must visit steak restaurant in Podgorica, great locally sourced meat from their own farm served by very knowledgable staff, and a solid wine list. I loved the fact that you can finish the meat to exactly the style you want with the hot coals, quite a fun experience. Great value for money, as very well priced for the quality. Our steaks were mouthwatering. We wished we had more time in Podgorica, as we would have dined here again.

Great ambience, delicious food, top service

The restaurants interior design is classy and harmonious. The service was attentive, friendly and professional. The soup of the day, a beef broth was absolutely delicious. We had a sirloin 450g which gets cooked to medium rare and you then can continue cooking it on the Mibrasa (charcoal oven) at your table to your desire. The meat as well as the sides (home made fries and veggies) were fantastic. I would also recommend the freshly made natural juices. The prices are more than fair and relatively cheap considering the quality of food quality, service, location in a capital city. We had a good time and definitely recommend a visit.

Fantastic Food, Service, Atmosphere!

This restaurant is outstanding in every respect. As typical Americans who can't speak anything but English, we appreciated the English-language menu and the foreign language skills of the staff. (This isn't an accomodation we expect but are happy when it's available.) Additionally, a beautiful maple tree graces the outdoor seating area, and the food and wine we ordered were outstanding in every respect. In fact my cousin and I consumed everything so enthusiastically, we forgot to take pictures! The service was especially warm and very professional. We can scarcely wait to return to try more options on the menu. In short, the meal, atmosphere and service were all wonderful.

An exceptional food experience!

The Steak House is a high standard restaurant in Podgorica. We had a dinner of high quality meat and tasty local beers at a reasonable price. The staff, including our waiter Damjan, was super friendly and polite, and we felt comfortable and welcomed. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for any visitor of Podgorica and I hope I come back again soon! Hvala!

This is a restaurant that is run by knowledgeable, detail-oriented professionals, who serve very well-cooked food paired with tremendous wine. If they make suggestions about what to order, I recommend listening to them. The steak I ordered was the ribeye, and I am not exaggerating when I say that it matches and exceeds the quality some steaks that I have had in European restaurants owned by household names. It was thick and juicy, with all the succulence, texture and fat content that we associate with the best ribeye. This was clearly a superior cut, and, at the risk of sounding like a snob, I was surprised to find it in a small city. If you are a wine fan and you appreciate waiters who are not bluffing, this is the place for you. I had the Stari Podrum Vranac, a local specialty which proves beyond all doubt that Montenegro can produce wines that are at least the equal of some of the better Rhone Valley Syrah-based wines. Note that I am not talking about mere Cotes Du Rhone or Cote Du Rhone Villages, but about specific appellations. In terms of price, it was not that bad relative to what I ordered. I spent a fair bit but that's because I wanted to see how good they were. In reality, the menu is flexible enough to eat quite well for a reasonable price.

Amazing food, slow service

We had read reviews previously about the service being slow, so went with that expectation. The food was really delicious and wine was great, but the service was undeniably slow for the overall price of the restaurant. Hopefully the reviews are listened to and more staff are added to the team, on the verge of being excellent!

Excellent food, excellent service

During a solo trip in Podgorica, I had troubles in finding some meat in supermarkets. I was really looking forward eating at this place and I was not disapointed. Of course it is a bit more expensive than the average restaurant of the main city but it totally worth it. As an apetizer, I took the octopus carpacio, prepared with oranges and pepper, delicious and very generous. The meat is incredible and I am not even talking about the sauce ! Same thing for the wine by the glass, not cheap, but a very very good one. A must-taste if you are around !

Great food and wine with a friendly service. Parking was a bit tight in the area but ok . Can for lunch with my wife after reading reviews. Staff were really helpful and gave honest advice while catering for special requirements Really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and general vibe

I try to find something different in Podgorica and found this. Srdjan & Natasa were really great, they explained menu, recommended food and it was like at the home! Prices are good, fish is very fresh, meat is good and ambient & location in center. Thank you, will come again!

Nice to MEAT you

First of all, their beefsteak is so delicious, soft and juicy. Accompanied by truffle sauce, bbq sauce and great fries. They provide even provide small grill for you, in case you want your meat to cook a bit more, but the meat was served to me amazing as it is, so I had no use for the grill. Friendly stuff with English helped me to choose. Quiet lovely patio outside is calm and quiet enough to have a conversation. Definitely will come again to cheer me up with a gorgeous steak.

Overpriced & Slow!

Would not recommend this restaurant. Site price range is mis-leading, not 8-14 euro. This is cost for main dish with sides extra so meal is closer to 22-30 euro. Also, the service is slow and inattentive.

Top Steak Dinner

We ate dinner here on a very hot July night. It is a very nice restaurant and we had a table out on the terrace without a reservation. The waiters all have very good English. The steaks are all priced per weight which is very awkward system as you have to ask what weight is available in each type of cut. And of course they will try upsell you to a larger weight. We ordered as salad, fries and two cuts to share, a tenderloin and a sirloin. The tenderloin was 300g and the sirloin 400g. Both ordered as Medium-Rare. There were also an appetiser of olive tapenade and spicy cheese with toasties, implied as complimentary but was €3. The sirloin was nothing special, not particularly tender or flavoursome. The tenderloin was exceptional, melt in the mouth tender and amazing flavour. They were served with an accompanying coal hibachi if we wished to cook the pieces a bit more. We also had an excellent bottle of Serbian red wine. After dinner we had a glass of Montenegrin red wine. Recommended.

What a pleasant culinary delight and superb service by Zeljko. Steak tartare mixed table side, grilled calamari and perfectly cooked siriloin steak. In case additional cooking was needed small table top grill was available. Experience is simply amazing. What a gem of a restaurant in the heart of Podgorica. Highly recommended!!!
