The clear chicken soup was really tasty and comforting in cold winter weather. the staff were considerate that prepared the fireplace to keep me warm.
However, the grilled vegetables are bad because they’re lukewarm and overly grilled

With only one night in Podgorica we visited Laterna because of the high trip advisor rating. We were not disappointed. The menu is typical of Montenegro and we ordered pizzas and grilled meat dishes which were delicious. The garden square is quiet and traditional despite being so close to the centre. Even though we were early and there were literally no other customers the warm and friendly service made for a really enjoyable evening. Our waitress was attentive without being intrusive too.
Would highly recommend!

We visited Konoba Lanterna for a date night. It’s set in the old town centre of Podgorica. The Cevapi beef rolls were amazing; so was the homemade ice-cream for dessert. Our Golden360 app gave us “buy one, get another free” deals on Cevapi. Also a similar offer for pizza that we will use next time.

Chose this restaurant based on Trip Advisor rating. At first it seemed very promising. Nice atmosphere and warm welcome. We ordered the lasagna which was pretty good. We also ordered the "grilled veal ramsteak" which was substandard. We were never asked if we were satisfied with our dishes and the fact that the veal remained untouched was ignored. This was not a case of taste preference. The overcooked veal was served with old stale rice. Lanterna, please instruct your staff to be more attentive to your guests and certainly refrain from serving poorly prepared dishes.

If you absolutely must go into a dark alley in downtown Podgorica, it better be on your way to the Lanterna. The cozily lit diner's waiters will kill you with kindness, and then with the enormous size of their portions. We would have appreciated a heads up before we accidentally ordered enough pizza, corn porridge and cheese sticks to feed an entire orphanage. But other than that, we were delighted to find this kind of charm in Montenegro's capital.

The food was really good, Veal soup for starters, Fresh Trout for main and cake for desert.
The only negative thing I could find, the waiter was alone, so he wasn't very attentive. Had to wait about 10 minutes to order desert and then another 10 minutes for the check.

We visited Lanterna based on trip advisor reviews. We were not disappointed following our visit! We ordered pizza as our main which the lovely waiter Duśa kindly helped us choose! We each had opted for the largest pizza and he explained to us that it was very large for one person and he could do half and half for us to share. It was great advice and our pizzas were delicious! We also tried the brandy liquor which I believe is the Montenegro national drink! We both opted for deserts in which I had the crepe and my other half had the house desert- ‘milk cake’! We were both really impressed with the food, service, atmosphere, and general friendliness and warm from the restaurant. A must visit if in Podgorica!

On a recent visit, on a very rainy night, my friend and I were greeted at the door by three servers who provided a genuinely friendly welcome and took our wet coats from us. The restaurant was impeccably clean and very comfortable. The menu selection is rather large and our food preparation was terrific. All through the evening the servers were attentive, friendly, and willing to make suggestions for food and wine. We enjoyed the food and the overall experience.

Had a leisurely Saturday lunch sitting in the garden. The setting is quite traditional and so is the food. My colleague ordered soup with rolled cabbage and I had some pork stuffed with cheese. And of course a large fresh salad and equally fresh white wine. It was very cozy and comfortable. The service was very good. The portions were so hefty, though, that we were not able to finish all.

Unfortunately the prices in menu are not exact what you will find on a check. Don't be surprised to see a fee for a cutlery, even if you order meal in the restaurant. When you have some questions to the waiter about it he starts to be impolite and rude. He even tried to make us believe that paying for nothing is a luxury. Sadly, this restaurant wasn't even close to be an excellent restaurant. The food was average, very fatty, rice was undercooked. Not recommended at all

We passed this on a walking tour and our guide recommended it.
We did not make a reservation but the place was reasonably quiet.
We were told that the dishes were big so we only ordered a mains.
I had the “Veal cooked under Bell” and my husband had the chicken skewers.
They were very large portions that were accompanied by potatoes.
The veal was fall apart tender and very flavoursome and a lot of it.
The chicken came wrapped in bacon, it came with rice.
We also had an exceptional Montenegrin red wine…we have noticed that even local wine is quite expensive in Pristina. Our bottle was €38….another one we were offered was €65.
Highly Recommended

The food was very good.
Service was odd.
There were two waiters that took turns with us. One tried hard to over sell us items on the menu. I am thankful that I did not listen as what he was suggesting would have been far too much food. The second man was overly friendly, as if acting in a play.
When the bill arrived we were asked for tip from the waiter that was overly friendly earlier. I felt that being asked for a tip made the service feel even more fake than in originally felt.
I tried popeci (12.20), Japraci (8.80) both were tasty and a salad.

Our waiter, Dusan, has truly mastered the art of waitering. He carries out his profession in a manner that could be described as chaotic elegance. He was a credit to the restaurant and a reassuring reminder that old school waiters and gentlemen still exist. If you dropped a piece of cutlery or needed a light for your cigarette, Dusan would be in your attendance before you could say the word “Podgorica”.
The outdoor terrace had a lovely ambience and was busy, with many reservations in place. Like many places in Montenegro there were a few stray cats which roamed the premises, but they were generally harmless.
Me and my partner both opted for the pizzas. They come in many sizes but be warned the large was big enough to feed a family. It came out on a wooden board that could have been used as a shield in battle. I had ham on mine which they were overly generous with to the point where I struggled to see the actual pizza. The pizza was tasty but a bit greasy.

very good food and a lot. The young lady who served us was really an angel, very good and helped us looking for new accommodation being in transit. The restaurant is located in one of the oldest buildings in Podgorica, 1630 and the terrace has a beautiful olive tree in the middle. recommend

This is the place to come to for very good Italian food - delicious pizza, as well as a very large and amazing caprese salad. Good service, and English is spoken; the place is well patronized by locals and tourists. Very reasonable prices.
