I have visited this small joint on the way to the Zoo umpteen times , reviewed earlier also , now reviewing again as the joint has come up with a new look with an open balcony and an open kitchen.. We visited darjeeling on april 16, and we have visited hot stimulating cafe, at 4.30. the hospitality was awesome and we were offered to have our tea in the roof. we have just enjoyed the sun set from the roof top and enjoyed the darjeeling tea. tge view and the behaviour was just amazing

Besides the hot and amazing momos, the owner of the cafe Mr. Rumba who is having very good exposure of the places around and he took us to the places which was my dream to visit and I must assure that the trek was more than worth for your money. very nice small cafe with refreshing view of darjeeling town and hills. behaviour of the lady was nice. and the coffee they served was really refreshing and good. though i didnt tasted the other foods there but the ambiance attracted me. :-)

Hot Stimulating Cafe is not a place you'd probably walk to just to visit as it's a long walk out of town, but it's about 5 minutes from the zoo and a welcome break on the way. I was a bit disappointed to see that it had been extended with an outdoor terrace on the back and the main building... More

Great location, a quiet little walk from Chowrasta, en route to the Zoo, great teas and food. This cafe always has good music on.

We read some rave reviews about this place on TripAdvisor and desperately wanted to check out this place. However this place was closed for renovation. We met the owner and when we asked if they were still open and served anything, we were told they served limited dishes - coffee, hot chocolate, pan cakes and omlettes. We ordered hot chocolate... The cafe is awesome.This is situated in the mall road.The masala tea is awesome.The chung(Hot bear made from millete)is famous in this place.Other foods like momo,thukpa, and others are also good.
