We just "happened" upon Jesse's on a return trip from Fairhope, AL to our rental home on the Ft. Morgan Peninsula, and so glad we did! Subsequently, within two weeks, we've been back two more times! It's location in Magnolia Springs adds to the interest and historical charm of the area. The restaurant was originally a general store built in... More

The bone-in-filet of ribeye is fabulous. Of course, top that off with the bread pudding and a cup of coffee and you will be ready for a good nights sleep. Our waiter,Morgan, was great!!

Shrimp and grits, porgy fish wrap, jessie's chopped salad and grilled chicken salad...all were top of the line! Can't forget the pecan praline bread pudding...to die for! Lunch prices are very reasonable.

This little gem was such a surprise that if there weren't already so many good restaurants in Mobile. I'd recommend making a special trip. It's on the way to Gulf Shores, after all. I had the crab toast and bread pudding with caramel pecan sauce, which shows where I put my priorities. Both were wonderful.

Love this place! We always go to Jesse's when we visit my dad. They have the best wedge salad, filet mignon, and Parmesan fries. I'm sure everything else is just as good, but I can't seem to try anything else 😀 We have always had Mrs. Linda and Ms. Megan as our waitresses and they were wonderful!

Our server was very personable and took really good care of us. She had a very big personality, and even recommended another restaurant closer to where we are staying on the gulf. For an appetizer, I ordered the fried green tomatoes, which were presented beautifully, layered with chevre on a tasty remoulade sauce and crowned with 2 delectable shrimp. My... More

We visited for lunch, and started out with raw oysters which were as good as any I have ever had. They were large, fresh, and very tasty. For our entree we had shrimp & grits, that was the best of any I have ever had anywhere, including New Orleans. Very quaint atmosphere, and superior service. We can't wait to go... More

We pass by this area many times a year, driving from Orange Beach to Fairhope. We stopped in today for a late lunch, and what a treat. The shrimp and gouda grits were excellent, and the salads fresh and crisp. We made dinner reservations for next month and cannot wait to try the steaks. Such a lovely experience! Lunch runs... More

My wife and I went to Jesse's for our post-Valentine's day celebration and were blown away from start to finish. No detail was left to chance, the service was outstanding, and the food was better than even the gorgeous photography on the website led us to believe. We made an earlier dinner reservation because we wanted to really relax and... More

My husband and I stopped for lunch and enjoyed the historic building and excellent food. I had the Airline chicken that was a baked chicken breast topped lightly with bacon herb gravy. Mashed potatoes were real potatoes, not from a box. Salad was fresh and homemade dressings were superb. Husband had the 6oz filet which was a quality steak and cooked... More
