Talk about delicious, authentic, and traditional Italian food in Goa. How do they do it? Honestly speaking, I didn't hold out much expectation wise when it came to finding authentic Italian food in Goa, much less anywhere in India! This restaurant was within feet of my hotel (Casa Anjuna), and as soon as you walked inside, I felt transported back... More

Hidden away from the main drag in Anjuna, Basilico offers a wonderfully relaxing al fresco dining experience. The kitchen is in the middle of the courtyard and through open windows guests can glimpse the staff working their magic inside. The amiable waiter arrived with the menus which we studied with ever growing anticipation. The antipasti all sounded tempting and we... More

Still the best! With new and trendy restaurants coming on the scene Basilico out ranks them and is still great. Food, service, atmosphere and value for money. Outdoors. Lovely atmosphere. Quiet back street. The owners are there every night and are mist welcoming. I ate there often. Thank goodness they were near my hotel. 🌺

it was nice italian place with really good aubergine pizza. The mushroom penne pasta was just about average. tiramisu was excellent. the place is defintely not for people on a budget as its quite expensive ( with rs 350 -400 per item) but worth a visit if you are ready to splurge

Basilico is a place to go. In terms of Italian food, pizza, pasta...are the best in India I had, clearly the Italian Chef managed to teach the way to do it to the local staff. The sitting outside is nice, you can see that mainly regular customers are coming. It's very busy, I recommend to book before. In terms of... More
