This restaurant has since moved to a new place from the famous old shop in Jonker street. A much nicer and cleaner restaurant but the taste have changed, not as tasty has before where it was operated by the old uncle. Apparently, it's now run by his grandchildren. Still miss the old cooking. They still serve some of the old... More

Had dinner with a few dinner associates and their wives in this restaurant and to my surprise I found the food in this restaurant excellent. This restaurant was before this located somewhere near to Jonker area but has since moved to this location. One of the best roast piglet I have eaten and it is a must is here. Another... More

Visited based on favourable reviews by blogger. However this is nothing more than hawker food moved to restaurant setting. And not even good hawker food. Was horrified to see that the fried soft shell crab ordered was actually factory prepared pieces kept in the freezer. We were seated near the deep freezer and saw the worker packing e bags of... I was here last year and revisited again for Chinese New Year. Excellent and probably the best restaurant in fine Chinese cuisine. Recommended to all lovers of fine food that is not street food.

We had the steamed pomfret, Braised duck and the noodles as recommended by many others. The Pomfret is fresh but rather ordinary. Braised duck is pretty good. Noodles are unique. Nice noodles. Yam paste is nice. Price is decent.

The food is delicious. The ambience is warm. The price is reasonable and the service is good. Worth a try if in Melaka.

Went there late and avoided the crowds - we had the whole restaurant to ourselves and were the last to leave before they closed for the afternoon. Call ahead if you plan on using this tactic! The food was hearty: one plate of fried noodles was not enough - it was so delicious that we had to order more, and... More

This restaurant need advance booking, and they do not hesitate to turn away customer who did not reserved in advance if they are full or when their kitchen is closed(past or even near to last order). The food is reasonably price, portion are quite ok too. Especially love the braised duck and oyster noodle. Did not have the chance to... More

This is supposed to be a Teochew restaurant but looking at the menu, they serve a wider variety of other dishes as well. The mainstay Teochew dishes as usual are braised duck, oyster noodle, steamed pomfret fish and yam paste dessert. These dishes are all fairly decent but without the wow factor. Thus if you must have Teochew food and... More

The waiters are all very helpful and courteous. Food is reasonably priced. However, I find its Teochew food to be so-so. It does not serve Cold Crabs either.
