Honestly, the hainan chicken can be found elsewhere around Malaysia or even Singapore and what makes it a tourist attraction was mainly the "rice ball" only. You can actually DIY yourself for the rice ball. Definitely not worth the long queue for a normal hainan chicken rice with overrated homemade rice ball. (RM0.40 per rice ball and it's only come... I remembered it being a memorable meal when I came here in 2009. However, this time round, we found the rice too soggy and chicken was alright and like what most patrons said, the food were generally served not hot. We didn't have to wait too long (15 min) since we arrived before 12pm, but if the queue had been... More

Not worth the wait. The rice ball is much smaller now, not as tasty as before. Rice and chicken was not served hot.

Will go to this shop each time we are to Malacca for trip. Previously the chicken was good as well as the chicken rice ball. Re-visited again this shop after 2 years and the food quality has drop. Worst part of all is the workers attitude in the shop. When we are q-ing for our turn, we overheard the staff... More

We waited for 1hour & 45 minutes. The severing was fast, but all the dishes are COLD.The rice ball too soft. Price was ok, still is not worth to wait.

We waited in line to eat for half an hour, we didn't mind waiting because we heard it was great food. It was very disappointing our chicken was so chewy we couldn't eat it. The chicken rice ball were the only edible part of our meal and they weren't very nice either. We were served by a teenage girl who... More

I had been to Melaka several times. Every time there was a long queue. This time the queue was short so we thought we were lucky and queued for a little while. Boy did I regret the decision. Having grown up in the region where chicken rice is like one of the national dishes, I felt that the chicken rice... More

This place is beside Hard Rock Cafe. It is open early and closes at 3pm. It is known for serving local breakfast delight. People queue in long lines just to buy food here, and I really witnessed it during lunch time. It is a manifestation of the authentic taste of their local food. I tried their hainanese chicken and chicken... More
