We picked this restaurant because the shrimp and grits were on the list of meals you need to eat in Alabama before you die. We stopped in about 3:30pm on a weekday and were the only people in the restaurant when we arrived. The wait staff was very friendly. I had the shrimp and grits which were tasty, but could... More

Thank God everything else in town was closed on Sunday afternoon or else we would not have gotten to experience the blind mule! It has a nice laid back feel to it. The service was great and the food was spectacular. Will definitely be back!

I went to church at the Basilica and hit Google afterwards for a local place to grab a beer and burger. The Blind Mule popped up and being only a block away, it was the place I went. I was the only one in the place at first so wasn't sure what to expect. However, their mushroom swiss burger and... More

Had Texas squealer burger and sweet potato fries were delicious. I'm not crazy over sweet fries but these were great. The burger pretty big I can only eat half of one. Need to try this place when u can.

Chose this place with a few friends to grab a bite to eat before Mardi Gras parade. The waitress (I believe her name was Sasha) had a terrible attitude. We sat down at a table took way too long to get waited on (hardly anyone in the place at this time). After placing our drink orders she returned with the... More

Probably the best shrimp and grits I've eaten. Pretty laid back place with a decent beer selection. The Bloody Mary was very good although a little spicy.

I hate to leave these kind of reviews but go for the beer and the bar. An example: The gumbo was good but when they say with a scoop of rice they mean a half a cup of rice with a little gumbo in it. There are a lot of different beers and it seems like a quirky little place... More

Nice people, good beer, and a great courtyard for having a cigar. We even bought a piece of art. We only had a salad, it was ok.

The Blind Mule has wonderful food. Both my husband and I got the Champion Burger. They were HUGE! We took half back to the hotel for supper. The staff was busy, since it was Halloween week-end with a lot of street festivals, yet they were all friendly and attentive. The walls displayed art, for sale. Definitely worth the money and... Went here because of Trip Advisor but it really was all just very average. The homemade cheese stick tasted good but the grease on the plate was a stomach turner. Seafood Gumbo had very little seafood average taste wouldn't order again. Caesar Salad was ok but dressing didn't show anything special. Lady Hayes Salad the same although blue cheese dressing...
