The food is goon and service is great very crowded and is a landmark establishment in a college town. Long lines are to be expected

"You'll never get in there!" my friend warned. Whatever. So I waited a teensy bit and it was worth it. Baked chicken, mashed & gravy, green beans, corn bread, half sweet and unsweet. Just go.

Not only is the food good, fast and cheap... but the place actually has an interesting ambience. The pictures on the wall will entertain you if you tire of watching the staff race to and fro filling orders.

This place is a local favorite. It opens early in the morning and stays open till just a couple hours after lunch. If you can get there in time to get some biscuits leftover from in the morning they're really good. Some people like to say that is hard to get a table but I went there multiple times and... More

Great food today with a dear friend. Recommend it highly. The hamburger steak was tasty as well as the pea salad and sliced tomatoes . Ended with a few bites of peach cobbler 😆

Friendly staff like old friends and family serving homestyle fare..A part of town history.Very basic surroundings but he staff makes up for it. You will meet some of the local colorful characters and probably the mayor too.

We have loved this place for years! Homey atmosphere, great service, tasty meats and vegetables menu, and reasonable prices. Often the line is long for a table, but it moves really fast and the food is well worth the wait. You won't leave hungry!

Had the fried chicken breast filet, Mac-n-cheese, mashed potatoes, and creamed corn. Get there early because it was packed.

My favorite restaurant in the state. Southern style vegetables, cornbread. They serve only breakfast, lunch and dinner. Check the daily special before you go as it varies each day- especially on the meat. I love the beef tips over rice and the southern peas. Great value. Right in downtown. Long lines so go early for lunch. Serves only lunch and... More
