This restaurant is premier Chinese restaurant with classical luxyry style. Which means quiet, nice air conditioned athmosphere and great food and service. We got table with river view and it is really a pleasure to watch how much of everything is happening there when at the same time you are sitting in silence and just enjoying. King prawn in sweet... We had a lovely dinner here with absolutely impeccable service. The room was lovely, and our waiter, 'Wayne', was spectacular. He guided some of our choices, which we enjoyed very well. It is expensive, which is why I rated it a 4. While we very much enjoyed it, for the price, the service and the room were the most memorable... More

Stepped in with 4 colleagues for a quick dinner and were presented with a $400 bill for a fish that tasted off, beef that was fatty, and vegetables which were not fresh. Avoid.

Since my arrival into Shanghai, I have not taken any Shanghai food. I approached the hotel concierge for a recommendation & I wanted somewhere nearby. So they recommended here. I would say that overall the food were good but nothing to impress. However I do like the Peking Duck. It was thinly sliced, fragrant & crispy. Their Kao Fu (an... More

if you like shanghainese food this is a great place. Fantastic scallion pancakes, xiao lung bao, water vegetables and noodles. Beautiful harbor and Pudong views, and a fantastic room decorated with period decor. Service was attentive and professional. First time there, and will be back

We tried the restaurant during our stay in the hotel. It is located at the 8th floor of the Fairmont Hotel and offers a beautiful view on the skyline. Food quality was nice in general. We had duck but were disappointed that it still included bones. The portions are very large, I would recommend to choose max. 2 dishes plus... More

This was recommended by the concierge at our hotel to fit our brief of good Chinese food and a view of the Bund. He certainly came through for us by recommending this restaurant - it was fantastic! The food was really good, service exceptional and the view was really wonderful. I will be back when I return to Shanghai

Every holiday we have a splurge once and this was it for 2017. The surroundings are very oppulent, staff perfectly attired. Tables and seats top quality. Staff attention to detail superb and no problems with English. Okay so to the food, everything we ordered was well prepared and very tasty. The Peking duck was served in the traditional way with... Staying in The Bund

Neighbourhood Profile
The Bund
While there are certainly many other “bunds” in the world, “the Bund” refers to Shanghai’s famous waterfront. The area’s Gothic, Art Deco and Beaux Arts monoliths were built when it was part of the Shanghai International Settlement run by the British and Americans. The atmosphere of colonial-era luxury has endured over time and is now found in the five-star hotels, luxury brand boutiques and expensive restaurants that can be found within the historic buildings. A cultural center has built up away from the water and some of Shanghai’s best art galleries and museums are housed close to the Bund. Nighttime views of Pudong and the rest of the city also make for a great backdrop at the many rooftop clubs.
