We were on tour and pressed for time so the local guide recommended this place bragging that heads of state and local people ate here. Some of the dim sum that came out first was ok but what we really came to eat was the...More

Can accommodate large and small groups. Set in a beautiful location within Yu Garden. Classic Chinese dinner set menu had about 15 courses. Options for vegetarians available but suggest customizing in your set menu.

The food is good, not great. The atmosphere is more upscale and a nice place to relax from the crowds at Yu Yuen. You won't be disappointed, but you also won't be wowed.

The restaurant is in the midst of one of the most crowded and touristy spots of Shanghai, especially for Chinese tourists, so I was very positively surprised by the quality of the food for reasonable cost. Authentic Shanghai food as far as I can tell....More

Shanghai’s original walls live on in the curve of the
streets that serve as the border to the old city. An
aerial view shows a clear circular outline and parts

ancient past. The main tourist attraction of Yuyuan
(which means Yu garden, though it is often redundantly
referred to as Yuyuan Garden) draws hordes of tourists
every day, but wandering the streets around the
