Crocus does many things well, but their Espresso Martini is one of the Best Drinks I have ever ordered! They have a special on Friday nights for 100 RMB for 5 tickets. Each ticket will get you whatever drink you want! This includes shots (B52 shots are on fire... literally) martinis, Long Islands, whatever. Their food is really good as... More

Crocus is great, really good food, what I would call real Italian pizzas of enormous size and with fresh ingredients and the steak ... oh the steak ... even though this one comes in rather undersized portions, but it's perfect to still small appetites. The staff is friendly, the... More

I came across Crocus a few months ago, and now make it a regular stop. It doesn't look like much when you first go, but has great beer prices, a long happy hour (til 9pm), a great atmosphere with a good mix of locals and foreignors (hard to find in Shanghai), and surprisingly some of the best pizza in Shanghai.... Staying in Jing'an

Neighbourhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
