Vistied the restaurant on Friday evening. We did not have reservation but we got the last table for us. But not next to chef using tepanagi plate. So be sure that you make reservation in advance if you want to be sure to get table. We did not take the all-you-can-eat option but if you are hungry I recomend it,... More

Went here on a Saturday night. Almost full. Were greeted by the hostess that speakes very good english. She explained how things work. We went for the all-you-can eat and were not dissapointed. Food were really good. The beef excellent. And the sushi absolutely great. I can highly recommend this place. And I will be back.

Honestly the quality of the food is "good" nothing bad but nothing great. Then with a menu at 280 with all in INCLUDING sake, beer and plum beer the place is really worth if you come with friends for a good night. Otherwise for a couple or family you can have better for cheaper if you are not a huge... More

Every time when I'm visiting at Shanghai, I try get back to Gintei. So there are quite several visits already. Simply, food is really tasty and good quality. Especially sashimi and all hibachi grill items. Service is also good. Restaurant is quite close to center, but still quite difficult to find, however, with taxi we have not had any problems.... Staying in Jing'an

Neighbourhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
