Always go for the beef noodles (thick cut) - delicious chunks of beef and a very rich broth (without MSG). The various side dishes of veg are a must too. Great service too - think at night this place is more like a bar.

I have always been a fan of the old Noodle Bull ( or is it Bull Noodle, I always get this mixed up) on Changle Lu. This location is a bit hidden from the street but has its own charm. Noodles are pretty decent, nothing...More

I visited Noodle Bull twice during my visit since our office was in the general vicinity and we needed quick(ish) food. This is a trendy looking noodle spot and was busy during both of our visits. However, we had a rather large group, and were...More

This might just be the best winter dish in Shanghai. While there are lots of side dishes and other choices, the beef noodle soup is the star. The broth is deep and rich, and the noodles have a wonderfully chewy mouth feel. The beef is...More

Neat place and minimalist atmosphere in the heart of Former French Concession, Noodle Bull serves very good and simple Taiwain-style stirred and soup noodles : classic 5.0mm bull noodles are my favorite, the few and well selected further choices are also absolutely worth a try....More

First of all, this is a simple and tasty restaurant. They do a few things well, but they do Taiwanese Beef Noodle soup the best, though a little more expensive than you might pay on the streets of Taipei. That said, they are strict in...More

This was always my favourite place to eat if I fancied noodles while in Shanghai. They advertise the fact that they don't use MSG, which appealed to me a lot. The noodles are fresh, small menu but very tasty selection. Only one choice for vegetarians...More

Lunch here is a great experience: you sit at the long central table, sip good beer and choose your noodles listening to great music. The food is good and the atmosphere is inviting you to come back.

this is our go-to place when we want simple noodles, trustworthy quality and a good value. My favorite are the hand sliced noodles, which are always an excellent quality no matter which dish. One drawback is the limited options for vegetarians. There is only 1...More

The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple,
while the main artery of excitement and entertainment
is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French
Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign
residents but displays a more commercial character.
Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and
trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing
Road, but areas off the busy street have the same
