Along with my curiosity I had a Christmas lunch in this Greek restaurant with a dear friend. Start with décor, from outside to the white-blue furnitures in the dining room, it has put some effort to ensure the customers dine in a mid-ocean style restaurant. Then it comes to the waiters, only two of them, showing not-so-Greek attitude towards us.... More

Big dinner- we had plenty of food and drinks. Chef is from Greece- all food is well prepared and authentic . Not too busy. House vine from Greece as well- decent enough. Mid - high end priced place. Worth to visit once in a while for something different

Came here with my partner. More expensive than places we usually go to but expect to pay similar prices for western food in shanghai. Food was really good but moussaka had no garnish, hummus was very salty. More bread needed with the dips. Baklava was amazing. Hard to find in shanghai.

Pretty good stuff and nice Greek décor. The sausages were clearly house made but not very spicy. The Fritto Misto was zucchini and delicious and the tzatziki was some of the best I’ve ever had. The service was friendly although not much stressed because I was in around 5:00 and nobody else was there. The calamari was a bit tough... More

The location of the restaurant is wonderful. It is in the former French Concession. The mousaka is a bit like Lasagna. But the taste is totally different.Yummy. The beef cake is very tender and juicy. So it shows the quality is very high. The yoghurt is very EU type. It is so charming for me. But the service is a little bit... More

We spent three nights in Shanghai at the end of a tour of China, After experiencing two weeks of dining Chinese style, we were looking for something nearer Western fare. And we found it at the Greek Taverna MILOS. We were welcomed by the owner, a Greek lady and the staff and were offered a table on the first floor... More

My husband & I have walked past this restaurant numerous times during our time in Shanghai. Last night (Saturday) we were craving for some seafood & arrived with no reservation & were warmly welcomed by staff & management. The menu was extensive & selected the starters of grilled squid & mussels with one of the best Greek salads to die... More

We have had a big advantage during the dinner in this Greek restaurant because our friend is from Greece like the manager of the place. So he understood perfectly and ordered the best dishes. The taste was great. We shared several dishes including shellfish, bread, meat, fish and a good Greek rose wine. We had dinner on the open terrace... More

After several hours at a nearby museum, finding good Greek food and excellent service was welcome change during our visit to Shanghai. We were there for lunch, but dinner menu was really good.

Staying in Former French Concession

Neighbourhood Profile
Former French Concession
While there are technical borders to the area formerly governed by the French in Shanghai, the "French Concession" of today is an amorphous neighborhood that is a favorite of the city's foreign residents. While it is mostly within the Xuhui district, residents will sometimes include parts of Jing'an and Luwan in their mental maps of the Former French Concession. The area seems frozen in time, characterized by quiet, tree-lined avenues, French-style villas, interesting boutiques, lively bars and quaint cafes that are not typical of China. All of these mix and mingle with local life as Chinese markets and lanehouse communities are peppered throughout. Denizens of the Former French Concession can spectate a mahjong game on the street or get their bike checked at a tiny bike repair store on the way to their refurbished apartment tucked away among Chinese family homes.
