Visited this restaurant as it wasn't too far from where we are staying. The place is huge - set out over 3 floors with a very nice rooftop dining area. Traditional and good quality decor - which makes you assume the prices could be expensive. The menu had some unusual options, but paired together quite well (also had it written... More

We went for dinner and it was crowded already at 615. they have a nice waiting area and with some hot tea and snacks. Their signature 9 treasures appetiser platter ( see pic), about 98RMB, was good. However, their signature tofu vegie packets and QQ jelly dessert with fresh milk, were a disappointment. soup was unmemorable. overall pleasant experience due... More

Best vegetarian in Shanghai, hands down. The handwritten menu -- written weekly as the availability of vegetables changes Although dairy was not marked, there was a separate egg section. Other than that most items seemed to be vegetarian :) The food is light and delicate. no alcohol is served The veggies are all good. Restaurant can compete to Indian vegetarian... More

The decor of restaurant was very nice, traditional Chinese style. We ordered a soup, one main dish and two noodles. The presentation of the food was very nice. The soup and the main dish taste quite good. The taste of soups were not bad either but we found one tastes almost the same as the other, even though they are... More

Staying in Gubei / Hongqiao / Minhang

Neighbourhood Profile
Gubei / Hongqiao / Minhang
West of Shanghai’s better-known business, cultural and entertainment centers, lies an expansive area of residential neighborhoods peppered with lifestyle pockets that have their own unique attractions. The schools have formed pockets of international communities throughout Gubei, Hongqiao and Minhang. Quite a few entertainment and shopping centers have built up over the years to cater to these communities. While living here means you are relatively far away from Shanghai’s usual hot spots, the large parks, spacious homes and proximity to great Japanese and Korean food keep the neighborhoods popular.
