This is a neat little old house that is now a restaurant. The buffet was pretty good. I had salmon patty, Mac n cheese, green beans, roll with their famous strawberry butter and scalloped potatoes. The potatoes were definitely the best! I'd definitely come back again to try something else another day.

We had Sunday lunch here. The food was fantastic, the service was typical southern and we enjoyed our time there.

At least once a month, we try to visit one of the smaller towns in Alabama and try one of the local restaurants. McCutchen's Magnolia House was one of two restaurants in Scottsboro which were recommended in a travel book we use. The fact that it is in a historic home interested us, so we decided to try it for... More

we stopped by for a late lunch after receiving recommendations from the thrift store next door. There was a buffet, but there was not a large selection of food, nor did the food look very fresh. We opted to make selections from the menu. My companion had the three salad combo which she said was the best meal of our... More

We walked in around 12:30 and waited about 5 min before being acknowledged and shown a place to sit. My husband had the buffet and sat down to eat and I had to ask if I could place an order. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich plate with a cup of fresh fruit. Chicken sandwich was just ok, I didn't... More

Family lunch. We tried several different sandwiches, all were very good. Nice atmosphere, good service, and the food was presented well. The german chocolate upside down cake was fantastic, and vinegar pie was good also. Would definitely recommend that you try this place!

I had lunch at Magnolia House this week expecting something outstanding; however, it was really rather ordinary except for its very attractive setting. The staff were friendly, but overall, the food was mediocre. I drove out of the way to get there expecting something as classy as its setting and was a little disappointed in the results.

You can sit with a small group or as a couple of friends! The décor is vintage French, and you can look at all the items if you are waiting for your food! Home style buffet serves Country Cooking!
