Epiphany Cafe closed in December 2016 after losing their lease. But don't worry! The chef de cuisine, Joel Frederick, has just opened another restaurant around the corner - Animal Butter. AB features a creative take on street food with local ingredients.

It appears that Epiphany is either being renovated - let's hope OR it's closed. Went by last night and the sign was down and the windows were brown-papered. A shame if it's gone as one of the best places I've found in AL.

Farm to table fresh!! A place where this localvore is in heaven. Everything is creativity delicious. I would eat here daily if I could afford to. It is a place that is so good that you don't get angry that the portions are small you just don't come starving so you can eat slow enough to be able to savor... More

I LOVE this restaurant! We have eaten here several times, and I discover something new every time. We did the chef's experience earlier this summer, and it was a perfect date night, and the food became edible art! We always try to eat here at least once a season when in town because the food and cocktails are just delicious!... More

This place was an incredible find and I am not sure that the local residents necessarily appreciate just HOW good it is! From a genuine and warm welcome we were seated in the restaurant and began to look over their cocktail menu (of which we sampled 4 and they were all good!!) Eliza (I think) was our server and was... Not sure where some of these negative reviews of Epiphany Cafe are coming from? I just had my 2nd excellent meal at Epiphany last week while visiting Tuscaloosa. I love the concept of farm to table and Epiphany really does this well. The menu is very descriptive as to what the food item is, how it is prepared and what... More

Although the concept is great, the puny portions and pretentious prices make it one of the most disappointing experiences ever. We went out to eat after our expensive meals and ate normal portions of barbeque just to feel satisfied.

We really liked the concept. The wine list wasn't long, but it included good choices. The brussel sprouts were delicious as were some of the other dishes. The service was friendly but inconsistent. We would give it another try.

Farm to Fork themed restaurant. Every flavor was very detailed and superb. Atmosphere was friendly, relax, nice or casual. It was delicious. Top 3 restaurants I've ever been to (I travel and eat locally, often). It was worth the price. Ask Ally, the bartender, for recommendations. She was accurate on every choice. Love, love, love!!!
