Bistro V is one of my favorite places to have lunch and to take out of town visitors. I try to find a non chain restaurant that is not barbecue to take my female friends and BV is perfect. The salads, sandwiches and entrees at lunch are really good and the portions are generous. The fried green tomato BLT is... More

The food is good, service is marginal and the ambiance leaves much to be desired in a restaurant at these prices.

What a great place to have in our neighborhood. I can even walk if need be. I often meet friends for lunch and dinner. Everything is good and the service is friendly and well done. Gets 5 starts from me.

Great food and prices at lunch--$26 w tip for two with burger, chicken panini, side salad and drinks. All at the top/notch Bistro V quality!

2 couples landed here while attending a professional meeting in Birmingham. Ubered over from the Wynfrey. Had the shrimp and scallops and my wife had the grouper. Both were highly recommended and really good.Their bread was piping hot and well moistened with olive oil which made it more of a desert swabbing out the bowls of seafood. Excellent! Our other... Whether you are interested in a casual lunch, a nice glass of wine, or a full upscale, Bistro V has it all. I am an absolutely chicken liver snob and I LOVE theirs !!

My wife and I stopped in for dinner. One of us had a steak and the other scallops. While not inexpensive, the food was excellently prepared and seasoned. We consider this one of the best places to get upscale food in our local neighborhood. We usually are part of the lunch time crowd, but decided after working late to meet... More

Horrible experience. I left a review on their Facebook, only to be harassed by the owner and her friends. Very immature and rude. I will never be back, and I will continue telling people of my experience. My review is below: (I recently edited it, since my words didn't sit well with the owner, even though they were 100% true).... More

Have been disappointed lately in this place. Staff was really difficult tonight beginning with the hostess when we walked in. We were seated at the bar with 3 people. Not conducive to visiting. Bar tender was extremely inattentive but we cut her some slack as she seemed way overworked with little or no assistance. Food was simply average with my... More

Have been here several times. This last visit it was just so so and the food was overpriced for the size of the amount you get.
