More like going to a place with frozen fish prepared without concern for style or flavor... You can get the job done, but will not write home about the experience...

although located outside Alajuela it is a cheap bus ride away. From Downtown Alajuela get the Pueblo Nuevo bus. Ask the driver "La Princesa Marina?" and he will let you know when you are there. Use same bus (now called Alajuela bus) for return. Ask restaurant server for bus stop location for return to Alajuela.

The food here is excellent and the service outstanding. It does help if you know some spanish (bring along your dictionary if you don't) as the servers know only a little English. That's OK, however, as they will work with you and it's well worth the effort.

Skip this place.. Our family did not enjoy having dinner here. The waiter was really gentle and friendly but the food, very Inconsistent. I personally recommend other places in Alajuela or even in the nearby town of Santa Barbara de Heredia.

Based on these reviews, my family went to this restaurant. The prices are indeed good -- I had a whole fish stuffed with seafood for about $12 -- but this may be a case of "you get what you pay for." Of the four of us, I was the only one satisfied with my meal. The paella was dry and... More

Four of us ate here together; each ordered a different seafood platter. One enjoyed her whole stuffed fish. Another's mixed seafood plate with rice was too dry, with just partially cooked shrimp (replaced quickly). Mine was generally good, but included a partially cooked lobster tail. Another's plate was too salty. We came for an early dinner (5PM) and were the... More

We took a cab here from nearby Asclepios, because we were bored with their restaurant. This place was delish! I got 6 flavorful lobster tails for $18!

The whole fried fish (pargo rojo) is excellent and their ceviche is the best I've had in Costa Rica. For families they have a huge menu and the waiters have mostly been there for years so they know their stuff. Recommended! Berni
