We were a party of twelve celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. Every member of our party enjoyed their selection. I had the mahi mahi which was delicious. The service was exceptional. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

My partner had the seafood which she said was amazing. There had to be over a pound of fresh, mixed variety of seafood including shrimp, octopus, mussels, fish and scallops. I had the Arroz con Pollo which was wonderful with fresh vegetables. The black bean dip with homemade chips was the best I had ever had. We were the only... More

This place was right on the town square and had a very unique design with a vaulted ceiling and open atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious (my boyfriend had an avocado chicken cheese dish that he still raves about) and the drinks were reasonably priced. Our waiter was attentive and the food was prepared in a timely manner. Would definitely... More

This is really a shame.... This restaurant probably had the best food in the La Fortuna area. I had the tomato soup and it was delicious. Someone else had the garlic sea bass and it too was delicious. Also excellent was the garlic mushrooms, cream of asparagus soup, and the veggie casada. It took over an hour and 20 minutes... More

Tonight (December 17, 2013), I went to La Perla to celebrate by birthday with a friend. I'm Costa Rican and my friend is from the USA. We enjoyed the food, but we were extremely disappointed when we received the check and the waiter immediately try to trick us with the tip. He handed the bill to my friend and told... More

Friendly service and very good tuna ceviche. I should have made a meal out of that alone. I also ordered chicken faijitas. It was a huge portion and was okay, not great. If I lived here I would go back for an easy and quick meal. Lots to choose from on the menu.

We went to Rancho Perla since a local recommended it to us. He said it was his favorite restaurant in the country. We ordered a pitcher of sangria, tuna ceviche (very fresh), crab stuffed avocado, and shared the shrimp stuffed snook. The stuffing on the Snook was a bit salty for my taste (I think the fish would have been... More

We had heard good things about the restaurant and decided to have dinner...it was very underwhelming. The service was fine but the food was a disappointment. My girlfriend ordered a medium-cooked steak and it came to her very rare. She sent it back and it was even more unappealing the second time. I had the halibut, which was very overcooked... More

This place was alright. The fish I ordered was like a little crab cake wrapped in fresh white fish, piping hot and excellent. My wife's tenderloin however was not good, did not appear to be tenderloin, was just barely cooked(not med-rare that she ordered, more like almost raw).
