Delicious Casado con pollo. Typical local breakfast. Local place. Off the Main Street. Great value for money. Nice service.

Were brought here on recommendation of our taxi driver. Service was fine, food was very good. Authentic Costa Rican casado. I had the fish and hubby had chicken, we enjoyed both very much. Fresh, clean food at a reasonable price compared to all the other restaurants in the area catered towards tourists. Give it a try!

We went to Soda Mina for our iced coffee every morning. It was so good. The breakfast was equally as tasty. Definitely give Soda Mima A try. You won't be disappointed.

The food was fantastic. Exactly what I wanted! You know it's a great place when you're the only travelers there! Also, super friendly. My two year old daughter started crying because of a little fight with her brother and the owner extended his arms to hold her. She accepted and he carried her around the restaurant showing her behind the... More

I ordered rice with chicken, fries and a small salad. What I did not order was ants on my fries, told the owner who just laughed at me and told mes i could eat that, that the ants was just in the oil! Horrible! Wander what else they have in that kitchen, the rice it self was super bland!

This was the worst meal we had in 3 weeks and we usually love the sodas and are not fussy. We ordered rice and shrimp, it was a generous portion but tasteless. We also ordered the spaghetti with tomato sauce and it was really watery and tasted like ketchup. The bread that came with it was mushy from the water... More

We wanted to grab a quick breakfast before going to arenal and this was a great spot. The owner was extremely nice and gave us an extra juice for free. The price $5 For the breakfast is hard to beat for the area. I would go again. Only small thing is the cheese that came with the meal was not... More

Just off the beaten path, near the church, an authentic Soda awaits you. There is very little seating. The restrooms are across the parking lot but are nice. The food is plentiful and affordable. The owner is friendly and eager to hang your artwork made with markers up on his wall.

My wife and I arranged for a cooking lesson to learn how to make a typical Costa Rican breakfast and lunch. Alvaro and Maria agreed to let's into their kitchen and it was one of the best experiences I've had. Maria taught us how to make Gallo pinto, huevos fritas, plantano and corn tortilla. We also learned arroz con pollo... More
