Great to find this place in a quiet back street of a noisy bustling town. Huge plateful of seafood rice very reasonably priced and promptly served. Able to park right outside which was a bonus in the torrential downpour.

This is a simple local restaurant a few doors down from Hotel Liberia where we had an evening meal at the start of our Costa Rican stay. We had excellent ceviche and chicken Casado with a couple of cold beers. Service was average and prices very reasonable . Would go again.

Place was empty when I arrived. Had Mariscada and drink at 7,700 colones. Shell fish and prawns were good. Drink was from supermarket bottle. Place was very dim. Had to use torch light to read menu.

We ate at Copa de Oro one evening. The food was nice enough... I had the chicken casada. It was reasonably priced. I didn't care for the plastic tablecloths but the place seemed clean with some big TVs. I would eat there again if I was looking for an inexpensive decent meal.

We visited Copa de Oro unintentionally, as we had taken a taxi to the downtown Liberia area to visit Café Liberia, which is one block down Calle Real on the same side of the street. Café Liberia was closed, so we walked over to Copa de Oro which had a great Spanish Colonial architecture and feel to it. The menu... More

I thought the menu had a lot to offer and perhaps many of the other dishes would have been better enjoyed by me, but I wasn't overly impressed with my seafood platter. The seafood itself was great and the fish had potential to be phenomenal with how tender it was, but my entire platter was just a vat of butter... More

Copa de Oro is a moderately priced eatery with good Costa Rican dishes. We enjoyed bowls of chicken soup and seafood soup.

We struck up a conversation with another couple while in line for customs after arriving at the airport. It turned out we were staying at the same hotel, so we shared a taxi. Copa de Oro had been recommended to them, so they asked us to join them. The menu had a good selection of "tipico" Tico fare. The prices... More

The meal was very good -- fresh fish and sea food -- and the portions very generous. Service was impeccable. We loved that the place was full of Ticos - no tourists, which made the experience more authentic.

Wasn't our first choice from the reviews but it was open for lunch. Holy cow---no pun intended. Costa Rican beef is amazing and this was the best we had. Great service, delicious drinks, perfect location and fresh, delicious food. Worth the trip into town.
