A small and sleepy town with not a huge number of options, but Cafe Daniela is recommended. Friendly family run business (I think) the food is local family style, good portions and tasty and I'd probably give it 4 out of 5 points. Until we ordered the ice coffee - can I give 5+? The best I've had in a... More

I enjoyed my arroz con camarones. My friends had the super tacos and enjoyed them. Their batidos are really good. They have lots of baked goods for sale. They have art for sale on the walls.

Good food, not great. Nice location. Very average first impression on serving... been here twice and it always looks like that are not bothered about giving information on the many or deserts. Maybe will be back, maybe won't...

A local from Samara recommended this place and we're so glad we ate here. Just a typical little soda outside of town on the crossroads, but the food was fresh, unique, delicious and abundant. We started with a ceviche that came with these beautiful, smashed and fried thick plantain chips, hot from the pan. We all had casados and lemonades.... More

Stuck in Nicoya for a night whilst visiting Barra Honda. It's not the greatest town for tourists but stumbled across this place. Despite my lack of Spanish and the owners lack of English we worked through ordering drinks and meals. Food was classic Tico fare which was good, honest and cheap.

It's one of those, you get what you pay for type of place. A better option than some fast food joints. It's centralized location it's a plus, making it an easy pick.

This used to be our favourite, but they lacked consistency, clealiness, and efficiency. This is not in the same league as Soda Prua Vida, just down the road, which we highly recommend, and it also has the cleanest toilets in town.

Cheap, and excellent food. Local dishes and I especially liked the shrimp and rice dish! The prices are around 2-3,000 Colones, which is about 4-6 dollars including drinks. If you're there during a soccer game you won't find parking. We walked from the hotel, so it was no problem. It is also close to the bus that takes you to... More

The place serves decent meals, the coffee not always good, needs a bit more airflow as it gets quiet hot in there at midday.
