Our favorite place to eat in Playa Coco. The menu is quite varied. The staff are very good (would remember our drink orders and just automatically serve us on each visit). They are excellent at accommodating food allergies. The quality is top notch. We tried...a little of everything on the menu - crepes (the favorite), burger, sushi, sandwiches. On the busy Main Street of Coco, Johann’s is close to the beach, shopping and Spa. We appreciated that English was understood and spoken, starting with their coffees, moving onto entrees of Stuffed Avacado, Bacon Guacamole Salad, (sushi) Wendy Roll, Age Roll Tempura followed by...Blue Curaco Margaritas (yes plural). Food, service and atmosphere was just great. Yes, all the restaurants cater to the whims of the tourist but shouldn’t they all be like this. ❤️More
Great breakfast options with Crepes, Pancakes and Sandwiches. You can get great Fruit Smoothies here. Its a small seating area but always nice because we go early.

Visited Johann several times during stay in Coco. Great crepes served either sweet or savory, really good California roll, fantastic spicy roll. First visit pizza was okay, not best in town, crust lacking but tasty sauce and quality cheese. Second pizza was much better with...crispy yet chewy crust. Will visit again, no problem to recommend. Friendly attentive service and great advice for our fishing trip with Wally. Decent price and large - 10 piece - sushi roll. Good job!More
We were in Coco for a month, visited Johann twice. Both times were very good. Pizza and beer for lunch one day, then the crepes for an afternoon snack. It’s not fancy, but it’s tasty.
Had lunch with the family and everything was great. We all ordered different things. Pizza, sushi ( Wendy),chicken sandwich and fresh tuna salad and everything was really good. I recommend it for sure.

You wouldn't think this place would have such delicious food when you first see the signpost which states that they specialize in pizza, sushi and crepes, which is not a combination that you often. However, after reading the reviews we gave it a go for...lunch and were pleasantly surprised. We had a pizza and mint lemonades and everything was great. It's a very atmospheric local place that I would definitely visit again.More
The husband and I went there today for dinner and had there sushi and it was amazing! We had the carribean, dynamite, and Wendy rolls! We are going there for lunch tomorrow. Highly recommended.
I tried the pizza a couple of days ago, and based on that didn't expect to be back ... until I read a review about their sandwiches. I'm glad that I came back as the chicken sandwich was really good. I plan on eating here...again during my stay at Playas de Cocos.More
