Super friendly owners. French toast was the bomb! Also enjoyed an almond croissant. Just steps away from our Airbnb and we stopped by here frequently!

4 stars b/c z I didn't actually get to try but I can't leave a note without leaving a review w/o them. While I'm sure it is delicious-BB was closed and looks like it will be for a while as the inside is under construction.:(...Super sad but wanted to give a heads up in case anyone is as excited as I was after reading all the reviews and seeing all the pics. Plus, the name is catchy and we really wanted to bring home a bag of their coffee. Next time!More

What an amazing breakfast and lunch spot. We went here almost every day we were in Tamarindo. The bread is fresh and homemade, the owner is super friendly, and if you are reading this review deciding on whether or not to go, you should go...right now.More

Came across this place last week and I’m super thankful I did. The owner is so sweet and the cappuccino was perfect. The espresso was not expired and the foam was perfect! (If you know coffee, you know what I’m talking about) The owner took...her time to get to know us and we even played with their two little kitties! I will definitely visit again when I’m back in Costa Rica!More

If I could rate this experience more than a 5, I would. The food was amazing and had a charming "Breaking Bad" theme to it. The staff was incredibly nice and the food came quickly. They also had 2 kittens which were very cute &...fun. This is one of the best places I've ever been to and certainly the best restaurant in Costa Rica.More

There are so many great places in tamarindo but this one holds a special place in our heart. We started our 7 day stay in the area with breakfast from here. I tried the chicken pesto panini and my boyfriend got the French toast. Both...incredible. The fact that we chose this place to be our last breakfast spot again prior to our departure should tell you everything you need to know. The staff is so attentive and friendly and I would not change a thing! I loved their moccacino as well and can’t wait to be back here! Thank you Breaking Bread.More

By a casualty I passed by this place. Sat for breakfast at 6:30 am, coffee served has character and aroma, excellent breakfast with fruits (pineapple, mango and papaya), fresh bread, fresh avocado, and pesto dips, eggs, and fresh banana cake. Simple, fresh and good taste....A breakfast you can have every day. I repeated breakfast for two days in a row.More

Walking around I found this small restaurant & bakery. Best coffee around in my opinion and the most friendly staff I met in Tamarindo. Owners are around daily to make sure everything run’s smoothly. Food ordered was all very good taste wise. Presentation could be...better, but I am completely spoiled by Soulshine in Playa Avellanes. Quality was perfect. Tried French toast, ShakShuka and avocado toast. All very good. On another visit I went to the bakery for some challah bread, croissants and cinnamon breads. Again, all fresh and good prices. But what stands out for me is the friendly staff and owners. They make everyone feel very welcome. Location is maby not the best, next to a small open garage, but its quiet and just of the main road and very close to the Skate Park.More

I enjoyed a couple of coffees here while in Tamarindo. The overnight oats were great to take when we had to be on an excursion. Very friendly! They do accept credit cards. My family loved the sour dough!

The best breakfast ❤️ I had Shakshuka, it was amazing, it brings homemade pesto and hot sauce, added mozarella to mine! Trully enjoyed. I also tried the cuban sandwich, it had a lot of flavor! We had french toast for desert and were also amazing,...can’t go wrong with anything in this menu. If you are coming to Tamarindo, this place is a must, all kind of bread is spectacular! If you don’t have breakfast, go at least to grab some bread!More

If you're looking for Breaking Bread ... it's located on the street behind the Taxi stand in Tamarindo. The street where Super Compro is located and also across from the bikini store "Del Toro"
