The restaurant is unpretentious, but serves very good seafood. Must try the whole red snapper... it is very tasty, as so many other dishes. Good service, good parking, good value for money!

We stopped in for a quick lunch and didn't have high expectations but this place turned out to be great! Food was yummy and our server was very friendly and helpful. Try the fresh mint lemonade!! One of the best meals we had during our stay!

Seafood restaurant off the side of the road. Looks clean. Smiling staff, and quick service. Parking right out front, but few spaces. We had salads which were delicious and of good size. Smoothie was watery, but they accommodated us in adding no sugar. A tourist place I'm sure, and therefor somewhat prizy. Free wifi that works well.

Pricey restaurant with small to medium size dishes. Regular to good flavor Kind of noisy some times due to live music. Not sure about freshness but I´d to trust them.

Very nice place. It was quite large and very busy. Pleasant staff and good service. The pricing was a little steep for this type of restaurant. My lunch was $35 and I had a piece of fish and 4 shrimp. I actually misread the menu or I would have never paid that price for the food I received. I don't... More

Another great recommendation from Carolina! After a little bit of confusion from our driver, we landed at the correct location. Finally tried ceviche, and it was awesome! As are most of CR restaurants, la ostra is open air. Once we arrived at the restaurant, a huge rain down pour opened up--and there was a person from the restaurant with umbrellas... More

We are a family of 6. We like the food and the service. We ordered a Shrimp cocktail that was tasty but super expensive. We should have looked at the cost vs. value before ordering. The fish and the meal was good but the price was expensive. We had 3 glasses of wine and that was fair priced.

If your looking for a good fish restaurant in Jaco, than you have to visit La Ostra. It was the best restaurant we visited this trip. I can really recommend it and I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Jaco.

The dishes are very good. A lot of garlic butter and some additional seasoning provides a very taste flavor to all the dishes we tried. Also very good service and clean.

When visiting the beaches around this area, we always go to "La Ostra" at least once. I look forward to having octopus with a touch of garlic. Grilled tuna is another favorite! We will be going back on our next trip.!
