This place has wonderful views of the ocean. The waiter was so kind and shared so many great stories with us. We saw a troop of monkeys both times we ate here. So many Iguanas as well! Great margaritas, you can't miss out on this place. We walked from Tulemar both times and it was so easy to get there.

My three friends and I loved the atmosphere at Barba Roja. We went around 5 PM on a Friday night, coincidentally just in time to catch a great sunset over the water. We had a few drinks and then enjoyed a candlelit dinner. Everything was affordable and delicious. Oh! I almost forgot to mention the live music! Barba Roja has... More

Wonderful restaurant with a killer view! Wait staff is caring and helpful, the food is excellent. (They will also cook fish you catch and provide the sides for $10 per plate!) Although the food is expensive, everything we ate was excellent and worth the price. (Chico, one of the waiters, offered to take our grandchildren fishing with him to check... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel so my expectation was high. It was an ordinary experience. The service and food was efficient but uninspired. Flavours, particularly the sweet and sour sauce and barbecue sauces were not tasty, but strong and artificial tasting. Nothing is bad, it just didn't call to come back. Staff could engage more with customers instead... More

We highly recommend their beet/blue cheese/candied pecan salad! Very attentive waiter. My husband had a strong vertigo attack where he couldn't eat or stand, and they all gave us immediate, helpful attention. Our waiter, without asking, quickly arrived with some alcohol for my husband to breathe in and it brought him almost immediate relief . We finally were able to... More

Great dinner with a killer sunset view. Staff was very friendly and professional. We had our last dinner in Costa Rica here - the entire family throughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend it.
