We had a fantastic lunch here with our kids. Everything was fresh and homemade and delicious, including the hot sauce, which is serious stuff. Very friendly too!

There is a reason Soda Jimenez is rated number 1. She is serving food with love and that extra that shows a true love of cooking and great food. She had two excellent specials the day we went - perfect tender chicken in sauce and...ridiculously great shredded beef. Get her specials of the day. Also got to try juices that most places don’t bother with. Pineapple rice milk like a fresh less sugary horchata - a regional specialty! Even her coffee was better. And not priced for tourists. Even a our picky teen who is suspicious of unfamiliar food ate every bite for the first time in a week. We are already planning our next meal there. Best overall Costa Rican food experience!More

The food was really good and the owner is a very nice woman. She even made my girlfriend a special veggie burrito.
